You will love Annie's Canyon. The views are stunning and there are many species of birds to enjoy. The majority of the trail is easy. The slot canyon is steep and slippery. Once you commit to going up it is easier to go all the way up rather than turn around because the loose sandy trail is very slippery and the chance of slipping and falling is high (IMO). There is a short portion of the slot canyon trail that has a steep ladder that you have to climb to keep going. The ladder is sturdy and affixed to the canyon securely. Once at the top of the slot canyon you can take the other, more mild trail back down. This portion of the trail is steeper than the lower portions.

Specific to the parking for Annie's Canyon, this area has limited free street parking. There wasn't much space left when we visited. So, you may have to park down the road and bit to find something. The hike/walk itself is fun. You walk on an easy dirt trail with a nice view of the estuary to the left on the way in. It only took about 20 minutes to get to the mouth of the canyon. You could avoid the canyon, however, and continue on the trail if you don't want to do any climbing. If you decide to go up, the canyon is short but narrow and there is a steep climb-out up some tall steps and a metal ladder.
