Art Bend — Attraction in South Bend

I had 2 children signed up for a summer art camp program. The first day Julian was there and everything seemed to go smoothly. However, the second day, Julian had a helper. I left my child for the camp for the 2 1/2 hours and came back when it was time to collect my children. I return to a "house" (because he runs his business out of his house) with the stereo on maximum and the children are playing hide and seek. I walk around the house looking for either my children or the 2 adults I left my children with. I couldn't visually see either of them. I loudly and over the stereo call out for my children (as they were hiding in his house). They come out and Julian is locked away in his bedroom that he calls his office. It took about 3 minutes to answer the door after knocking and wanting to ask him a question. He cracks the door and pears from around it, not fully opening the door. I ask him, "do you have a child in there?" Julian responds, "that's none of your business". I ask him again and he defensively got angry for my asking the question. I tell him it is my business and I will begin to record and I do so. After starting my recording and asking him if he had children in his "office" (while the kids are playing hide and seek), Julian steps away from his door and says, take a look. I peer into his room from the hallway from a half open door and quickly viewed no children. I then stepped away and was about to leave when Julian said my children and I were no longer welcome. He contacted my wife (the individual who signed up for the program) with half the story saying "he was taking a nap" all while he's supposed to be watching the children we have paid him to provide services for. In addition to not allowing our children to be welcomed back, its all without a refund. 1 star for so many red flags.

Edit: After posting this review and contact through my wife. A refund has been issued for the remaining days of our children's summer camp.

I threw my twin daughters' birthday here and let me just say, everything about the experience was incredible and seamless. Julian is professional but warm and was able to help me reserve the party over the phone. The girls chose their art from the gallery he emailed me and that was it. When I say I did nothing, I mean it. The gallery was decorated beautifully for the occasion and was personalized with the girls' names. The instruction for the art piece was paced and there was plenty of time for the group to stay on track. In fact, as I was watching I was shocked at how little I had to contribute (coming from a mom who is on go at all times). All I brought was food and cake and a couple of personalized decorative items (which actually turned out to be absolutely unnecessary because the place was set up impeccably). If your kid loves art and you want to do an incredible party without having to do any of the work this is the spot. And bonus, we had some time at the end and did a little karaoke and Julian sang a little for the girls! Great spot. Thank you for a...

Shout out to this art business for deleting my comments regarding concerns of gender discrimination multiple times and then turning around to call their censorship, giving their posts a "manicure." Poorly run business and even poorer morals.

The concept of a ladies night is not the issue of gender discrimination here, so don't twist my words please, it's petty. But not as petty as censorship I must add. I dont need to give you another chance. The way you addressed this issue says it all.
