Kennedy Park is a great fun pool for kiddos. It's not only a pool, it has fountains, water cannons and a water slide. There is two shaded areas with picnic tables, lounge chairs available for parents and several life guards available for emergencies and to ensure safe play in the pool area.
Kennedy Park also has 2 really nice playground areas. One is more of a jungle gym made of heavy nylon ropes and cables and is mainly for climbing.
The park has a parking lot as well as street parking in the area. If you plan to eat, the closest resturaunts are about a half mile away, as Kennedy Park is right between Kennedy Elementary, Honeywell and a residential neighborhood.
As far as neighborhood safety, the area where Kennedy Park is located is fairly safe, however, the neighborhoods around Kennedy Park can be dangerous and have a higher crime statistic.
Other than the neighborhoods around Kennedy Park, the only real downside is an admission fee. I can understand charging admission to keep the park up and pay park employees, but, if "Mayor Pete" has funds to purchase a tour buss that converts into a sound system, why should there be an admission fee?
