Garden Wok — Restaurant in South Bend

I have to say this is my first time coming here in so many years. There was the nicest lady who works the front of the restaurant. She was amazing and really brightened my day typically when you go into an a Chinese restaurant the people don't talk to you much But Not only was she very talkative she was so sweet and kind. She's the reason why I wanted to leave this review, even before I tasted the food I want to write this but I waited and I tasted the food I had the Kung Pao chicken and it was very good. They had a two selection combination where you select rice or noodles and you get two different meat dishes. It was huge the portion I got. I could be mistaken but I can tell you now I'm going...

The lunch portion is decent for the price, but the food is bland and not at all worth the money. I spent almost $30 here tonight to feed myself and others. The orange chicken had flavorful sauce but there was barely any chicken in each piece. The house fried rice was extremely bland. The egg roll were sub-par. The only redeeming factor was the egg drop soup, which made the rice taste infinitely better when it was poured over it.

Overall this place is horrible. If you're drunk at noon then by all means go grab their lunch portions but if you're looking for a Chinese joint that is actually good hit up...

Me and my partner ate here last night and I never leave reviews but trust me I need to. I had to call into work sick because I’ve been throwing up and couldn’t sleep all night because of stomach pains and nausea. I don’t know what is going on in that kitchen but it can’t be very clean if im this sick and didn’t even finish my whole meal! I have eaten here before several times, a few times I had stomach problems but figured I’d just eaten too much. After this experience I think I’ll just cut out fast food Chinese places and stick to authentic establishments like Nom Nom Pho which has NEVER made me...
