Small town museum that features a Norfolk and Western Railroad caboose, HO scale train layout, and both permanent and visiting exhibits. Some of the permanent exhibits include William "Bill" Tuck, 55th Governor of Virginia, pioneer medicine, World War 2, and a Halifax interactive map room. Particularly interesting was a wall timeline that depicted world, Virginia, and Halifax County events from the early 1600's to 2010. Interesting and informative collections though some items seemed out of place. It is unfortunate that visitors entering the museum are greeted to the right by a disturbing Nazi battle flag complete with swastika hanging on the wall in the World War 2 exhibit. We stopped solely for directions to Tobacco Heritage Trail and made ourselves get back on track 20 minutes later.
