We decided to visit the yellow branch falls trail for a hike to see the waterfall. Parking is free and while there is a good amount of space it can get packed limiting parking. I would say the hike could be 2-3 hours for the entire hike there and back but we did stop and spend time at the waterfall. There’s also plenty of flat rocks near the waterfalls that people were sitting and having lunch on which was a great idea. The terrain was a little rough so make sure you have good hiking/running shoes. There also isn’t good phone service so be prepared for that as it is in the mountains. Theres also a cabin a short drive from the trails (less than 5 min away) but there is a few to enter the cabins. There’s also waterfall was definitely worth the hike so 10/10...

This trail is 3.5 miles roundtrip and is well maintained. There's 3 or 4 Creek crossings all but one was ankle deep or had rocks you could walk on. One crossing was knee-deep, or you needed to go over a log. We did go after it rained, though. The hike was primarily downhill on the way to the falls, so keep in mind that walking back is slightly more challenging. Also, the trail does get narrow the last 1/3 of a mile closest to the waterfall. The waterfall itself and the area around it is magnificent, though. I would say the hike was easy to moderate depending on your hiking experience. We brought our dog, and we really enjoyed this hike. There were plenty of parking spaces and multiple picnic tables by the Trailhead. There was no fee to park. Definitely...

The leafless trees expose the landscape's scenic grandeur, while the crisp winter air enhances the overall experience. It's crucial to dress warmly and navigate potentially slippery paths with caution. Despite the chill, the tranquility enveloping the area and the mesmerizing views of the waterfall make this winter trek profoundly rewarding. The unique charm of Yellow Branch Falls takes on a different, yet equally enchanting, character during the colder months, providing hikers with an unforgettable...
