Village Flower Shop — Attraction in South Coventry Township

We hired DeeAnn from Village Flower Shop to be the florist for our June Wedding at Welkinweir in Pottstown, PA.

My background and history with flowers is long and deep. I knew choosing the florist for my wedding was going to be even harder than finding the right wedding dress.

I received three different quotes for a florist for the wedding. In the end I chose DeeAnn and couldn't have made a better decision.

Her shop is charming, comfortable, rustic, laden with feathers, drying flora from the ceiling and filled with thoughtfully made gifts by local artisans. Beware, there is no wi-if in her shop, so plan ahead!!

The initial stages were fairly straightforward. I made documents of pictures and notes filled with inspiration for the styles and flowers that I wanted. After learning about her during our short visits and phone calls, I was really hoping that pricing was going to fall into place for our budget. I sent her my visions via email and she diligently sent me a quote. She was half the price of a larger organization that I had checked out in Wayne, PA!

On our first real meeting, we spent 1.5 hours standing at her counter going through all the individual pieces and arrangements and which flowers would work best and look beautiful for pictures. She was very patient, thorough, and had helpful tips and recommendations. I felt really comfortable in knowing that her passion for flora and how resourceful she was, would also be reflective of my style and show in the arrangements. It was a perfect match! When she told me that she would go on treks in the woods to find unique natural items, I knew that she was going to create something wonderful. And she did.

When she brought me my bouquet it moved me to tears. It was absolutely gorgeous and perfect. It is romantic, wild, and densely packed with all sorts of richness and beauty. I'll never forget seeing it for the first time. My bridal party loved the hoops she created and they complimented the dresses and overall style wonderfully. I have my bouquet hanging upside down drying now and each of my bridesmaids (with no planning or prior discussion) sent me photos of where they hung their hoops when they got home which added to the fun and experience.

I understand there was a traffic dilemma during the time of delivery for the bouquets, hoops, and boutineers but we did lose some photography time in order to get the bouquet delivered and boutineers pinned on the groomsmen for photos.

The centerpieces were enjoyed by all and complimented on over and over again by guests. The show stopper were the arrangements created for the teepee that we brought and built. The richness and romanticism of my bouquet was brought into three arrangements stretched across the front legs of the teepee.

With no direct color scheme and so many requested details, DeeAnn and her shop impressed me and left me speechless with their creations and execution. Having such a long love affair with flowers, I wouldn't have thought it possible!

I really don't know how I can make this review short, it would be impossible based on the wonderful customer service from DeeAnn. I'm in Wisconsin, that's 896 miles away from my daughter who lives in pottstown. I had a terrible experience in the early morning of Valentines day from a different flower shop. I needed to get flowers to my daughter. I called DeeAnn, and she was so so busy, but she heard the sadness in my voice, and said she would call me back., and she did. She made it happen for me, she made a beautiful arrangement, with a teddy bear, and when I asked her if she had chocolates in her shop, she said no, but would go to the store to get some. She made the arrangement after store hours, and delivered it herself to make sure that my daughter had flowers on Valentines day. DeeAnn has no idea how much this meant to me,she is forever a special person in my heart, and my go to florist for when I need to get my daughter some flowers. This shop at the corner of Pughtown and Rt 100 is a wonderland of unique & charming gifts and outstanding value in flowers. Stop in on the way home for a visit with the friendly staff and pickup a surprise for someone special. Having purchased flowers here for several years; I have never been disappointed with the service or the flowers. I enjoy browsing in the shop while the flowers are prepared...and always find a little something to give with...
