Beers & Story Funeral Homes — Attraction in South Hadley

When mom passed away in December we had just 4 days to have her prepared for her MA funeral before Christmas, on just the 5th day after her passing into eternal life. Despite being fully booked with other funerals, Beers & Story South Hadley staff went above & beyond to accommodate the very short time frame. Tgey came to the house after their regular work day to fill out paperwork asap. They were able to expedite mom's cremation so she'd be ready in the urn, on Dec. 22 for her funeral mass in MA. All her funeral cards were also expedited to be ready then. On the day after Christmas we had to drive mom's cremains to Michigan for her funeral with the rest of the large family & internment there. Beers & Story connected with the funeral home in MI who were also booked solid. Beers & Story staff coached us thru the processes for both MI & MA since we would not be able to have a director at the church there either. I recently lost my mother on January 5. She was 93 years old. She was more than just a mother to me, she was also my best friend. When it came time to make the arrangements, we contacted Beers and Story. We have always used them as they are always kind, compassionate and very professional. Nothing can take the pain away from losing our mother, but the staff at Beers and Story made this as peaceful and comforting as possible. It’s so hard to grieve the loss of your loved one when you also have to be the strong one to follow through with the burial plans of the family member that just passed away. The whole staff at Beers & Story Funeral Home understands what the grieving one is going through, and made the whole process that much easier as to showing they truly care about your loved one that just passed and the grieving one handling the last wishes.
