
All I know is about the beach area. I didn't know there was a disc course . I just drove in around 9 a.m. the day after they re-opened Highway 50 which had been closed because of the wildfire - so there was still smoke in the air ...but I pulled into this parking lot - looks like they usually charge people .. but nobody was there so I just pulled out my fins and mask & went snorkeling. the water was warm enough to swim in without a wet suit ... this is about the only time of year that it is warm enough and of course it's crystal clear -beautiful! I saw one really big fish 🐟 & I swam out by the stern-wheel boat . I was the only one - enjoying it all by myself- and then I was back on the road again going thru the areas ravaged by fire and saw a lot of places where there were ONLY chimneys left...

Crowded, got to park a far ways if you don't have a rez, but it's a beautiful location. It's not the most friendly for those with special needs (admittedly, didn't do any research before going) but with some help or research you can get by.
If you get there early you can a grab a BBQ pit in the shade, and set up near the beach.
The water is clear, sand is hot, views to be seen. I can see why it's so popular. I know this review doesn't sound like the most uplifting but get out to Zephyr Cove. Liam loved it as...
Read moreChecked in late afternoon. Asked for a room for 1 night. Asked if we wanted a kitchen and we said no. We were offered a cabin for the rate of 129.95 which we accepted. Got to the cabin and it was very nice, including a kitchen. Went back to the desk to verify the rate and again we were told 129.95. We thought this was so reasonable, we took the cabin for a second night. Credit card bill came and we were charged one night at 129.95 plus 2 nights at 305.00 per night. Still fighting this out 3 months later....
