This would be a 5 star review based on most of the work Megan did on our wedding. She was so sweet, an attentive and detail-oriented wedding decorator, and everything looked beautiful. She even brought some of the flowers to us the day before the weekend, so it’d be easier for our family. I would absolutely recommend her as a florist.
The reason this is a 3 star is because of the lack of responsibility Megan took when her team was unable to assemble a huge mandap/huppah/canopy structure for our ceremony—it fell in front of our eyes. Indian weddings have a huge fire-pit in the middle, so poor execution of this structure could have become a very dangerous mistake. I’d spent a year making a thousand paper cranes for our backdrops, so you can imagine how sad this was.oTaking down the mandap was the best decision, and of course mistakes happen, but it's important to own up to them. Megan blamed an uneven stage for the unsoundness of the structure and although very apologetic, she was unwilling to take responsibility for the structure itself.
The stage seemed within reason, and we didn't really notice it was uneven. Coming from a family of engineers, it didn’t seem like the structure would have stood up without any weights to hold it down regardless of how flat the surface was. We were reimbursed $400 for the structure after a month and a half of back and forths. After spending over 5K at Megan's business, and trusting her to put up the structure, we basically paid her $1200 to try. I work with clients all day, and I can’t imagine failing to deliver the biggest feature, blaming the whole thing on a different party, and bowing out.
Megan is a great person, and I do recommend her as a florist and decorator, but not for building and delivering large structures. If you do decide to hire her, please ask her how she handles situations if...
Read moreOf all of the vendors for our wedding day, our florist was one that made me the most nervous given my limited knowledge in this space. One of the venues we toured had Fragile Paradise on their list of recommended florists and as soon as we met with Megan, I knew we had found the perfect florist for our wedding day! Megan immediately saw my vision for our wedding day and came up with so many fantastic ideas to bring it to life, while being respectful of our budget. I really appreciated how she showed us examples of specific flowers during our initial meeting so that I could visualize how all of the colors and flowers would come together. She also did a full mockup of one of our centerpieces about a month before our wedding so that we could make any final adjustments.
Three months before our wedding, we had to completely change reception venues because of COVID. Luckily, we switched to a venue Megan was really familiar with and she was an excellent resource for ideas to make sure that the reception reflected the look and feel that I had envisioned. On our wedding day, the florals were absolutely stunning and were exactly what I had pictured in my head. We also can’t thank Megan enough for going above and beyond to fix our wedding cake after there was an incident with the cake topper by adding additional flowers. I have already recommended Fragile Paradise to other brides I know and look forward to working with Megan for future events. Thank you Megan!

Read moreI found Fragile Paradise when looking for a wedding florist. I hired Megan (the owner) not only for her beautiful work, but also for her incredibly kind and patient personality. During the most stressful time of my life, Megan was only a quick email or phone call away to making my dreams come true. As a wedding florist, Megan and her team did an absolutely phenomenal job and I highly recommend Fragile Paradise for a wedding or any large function. She is incredibly organized and prepared. Prices are extremely comparable to similar florists throughout Pittsburgh.
I also participated in a floral workshop that Megan hosted. She provided all materials for us and had a class via Zoom to teach us how to make a floral arrangement. It was extremely fun and Megan is truly an expert when it comes to making arrangements.
Overall, I’d hire Megan for another wedding, I’d purchase any of her arrangements for any occasion, and I’d take any of her workshop classes again. She is honestly a true gem in the Pittsburgh...
