Harbor Freight — Local services in South Strabane Township

It's a shame because I liked shopping here. The tools are usually good and low priced, but you get what you pay for. The reason I gave 2 stars is because the customer service was horrible. We simply asked is we could return ratchet straps, which were probably 2-5 dollars. The cashier was a total b*h about it, saying that we couldn't return it. She was back talking us and had her hands on her hips the whole time, glaring at us and kept telling us that we couldn't return it in a nasty voice. We asked for the manager and not only did he say we couldn't return it, but he had somewhat of an attitude, also. We took both of their names. As soon as we got home we wrote to corporate explaining the horrible customer service incident. They apologized.and promised it would be dealt with. I understand that everyone has bad days, but you DEFINITELY do not take it out on the customer. I haven't been back...

Fantastic service at this store. Always knowledgeable, friendly employees I've been here over 10 times and never had an experience less than great. Variety of tools is impressive and the organization of them in the store makes it very easy to find what I need. As for quality of hand tools, disposable materials (bits, blades, etc.) the value for the most part is unmatched. Personally, I am willing to spend more money for dewalt or milwaukee power tools because I work in the construction industry. I do recommend Earthquake, Bauer, Hercules, and Chicago Electric power tools for anyone who doesn't abuse them as much as I would. I also recommend signing up for the Inside Track Club for anyone who often breaks or loses tools.
