I wanted to take a moment to share our experiences with Southaven Appliance and their fantastic staff. Long story short, we have utilized their services on 3 separate occasions. On 2 of those occasions, we have had Orlando, their top notch service tech, come to our house to work on faulty appliances. On both occasions, my wife and I have been astounded at his commitment to ensuring that his customers are thrilled with the service provided.
Today, we had the misfortune of learning that our washing machine that is less than 3 years old was basically beyond repair. The repair would cost more than what we paid for the washer brand new. Unfortunately for Orlando, that was only discovered after he had spent 5 hours working on the washer. He even had to go out and get additional tools to attempt to repair the washer as the inner workings had basically fused due to poor quality control.
In addition to Orlandoâs commitment to excellent work and service, We were further wowed by the fact that in spite of the exorbitant amount of time that the fine team at Southaven appliance dedicated to attempting to repair our washer, they only billed us for the trip charge. I fully expected to be billed for the hours of labor that went in to the attempted repair, as well.
I am so impressed with the level of service and dedication demonstrated by Southaven Appliance and especially by Orlando. I actually feel pretty bad that so much time was spent attempting a repair that we ended up canceling due to the exorbitant cost. This company has earned our business forever.    Read moreI purchased a side-by-side refrigerator from Southaven Appliance in February 2025 for my new home, opting for delivery and setup. Initially, everything seemed fine, but as I settled in, I noticed that the fresh food section was excessively cold, freezing my groceries.
Concerned, I reached out to Southaven Appliance on 3/25/25 for advice on how to fix the issue. Unfortunately, I was informed that I was past my 30-day warranty and was simply told to "drop the fridge off." Given that I had paid for delivery, this response felt impractical and dismissive. I asked if I could pay for a technician to come out, but the manager flat-out refused, stating again that I was beyond the warranty by two weeks.
The only other option I was given was to purchase another item with a slight discountâwhy would I buy something else if the first purchase didnât perform properly? This interaction left me incredibly disappointed. Southaven Appliance does not stand behind their products, and their refusal to offer reasonable assistance speaks volumes about their business practices. They told me I needed a new ice maker for a 20 year old Whirlpool frig , so I purchased one at Mid-south part(100.00) on State Line. Wrong, never was the ice-make, but a fan motor behind the freezer wall. I only found out because, I called Sears to find the issue. They wanted $400.00 for replacing a 34 dollar fan. At least they knew what the problem was in the first place. Anyway Mid-South does NOT do returns, so we now have a spare(HA).
