We camped overnight at the campground and visited the amusement and water park in a Wednesday. The campground was very clean, quiet and our site had plenty of shade for our tent. The bathrooms and showers were exceptionally clean! The store is open 24/7 for anything you may need. My only complaints about the campground would be that there were only 2 other campers with tent sides ...you don't pick your site when reserving and although there were only two other sites rented instead of spreading us out the put us in sites one,two and three...on top of each other. Why not spread people out? They had a ton of open tent sites?? Also the website states they have transportation to and from the gate to get in the park from the campsite...an 8 person golf cart which was not running when we camped and they should let you know that on the website before paying. There is so much land around the campsite and should put in a pool and Jacuzzi. For what they charge they make plenty of money to make that campground more camp resort like. As far as the park it was a great time, water park was so refreshing. Park is very clean and well kept. Our only issues were that the free cup you get with a season pass for free soda all year, well the stations where you fill them were out of ice ALL day long 😞what good is warm free soda with no ice?? They seriously need to fix that. Also the water park closes at 6pm???? WHAT...Subs still out...it's still hot ...that's just ridiculous for the price you pay for admission. The water park should be open until at least 8 and the park until 11. They close things way too early but expect big money for tickets!!

After driving a LONG way, we finally arrive Pay to park, then pay to get into actual park we're rides, food and game ate located..except..a lot of the rides and places that serve food ARE CLOSED ? SERUOUSLY?!! What would happen if you went to see a movie, & they had no popcorn, no soda and they only played half the movie..but you didn't know these thing until AFTER you paid for your tickets...that is sort of what our experiance at lake compounce was like. We will never go back. Waste of money on gas, waste of money to park...the whole experiance was a big let down. The men's room smells like a pig farm. Everyone we talked to said the same thing "why are rides closed ?" Then some lady hit the nail on the head...they don't have the employees to properly staff and run the park. I agree, that has to be the problem. Oh, eat something b4 you go...or bring some snacks in your backpack. A 8" pan pizza is $10.99 and was so disgusting. Soooo four people, two kids & two adults, call it $60.00 for the nastiest pizza and soda that tastes like seltzer water. To sum it up, Lake compounse COULD be a great, but until they address these and other issues, I will not recomend Lake compounce.

Nice park hidden in the woods near the Lake Compounce CampGround, alot of parking but get there early to avoid long lines of cars entering, rides were great & good amount of roller coaster ones along with assortment of water rides, the Vortex is the best water one tube that fits 2/3 people, pretty awesome on the way down & get forget the fried dough, the best, deffenitly recommend this park to all, lines are long on Weekends but you can purchase a speed pass for extra 💵

Completely overwhelmed park. They had two cashiers working the cafe in the water park. Have been currently waiting in line over an hour for lunch. About 50 ppl in line overall. My son was starving so he went to a dippin dors station and the lady said " I'll be right back I have to restock" he waited 40 minutes. She never came back. There's nowhere to sit or lay, all chaise lounge and tables are taken. All lockers taken. The ppl at the food tables don't get up since they have nowhere to put their belongings. We are going to have to sit on the ground to eat. Unacceptable. Totally understaffed and...
