PET OWNERS BEWARE We had numerous issues with this hotel. They advertised online as a $75 pet fee for the first 1-4 nights. I travel a lot and this is pretty standard at most hilton brand hotels, however upon checking in here they advised it is $75 PER PET. I instantly questioned it and they told me they can set their own rules outside of what Hilton does cause they're independently owned....???? Whole story didn't make sense to me but I was told I could talk to a manager about it in the morning. That night I took my dogs for a walk around the building. There really isnt much area for pets to even do their business and on the walk around the building I had to pull FOUR dead poisoned mice out of my dogs mouth because they have mice poison bait all around the premises. Clearly there is a mice problem which many deal with in new england this time of year, BUT you need to be responsible with using posion and stay on top of the mice clean up OR do not advertise as pet friendly. My dog could have died if he swallowed those mice. This wasn't even just a one time thing. 4 mice the first night and then 2 the next morning. I took a picture for proof. To be fair, the manager did a decent job when I spoke with her the next morning and told her about the mice and issues with the pet fee. She acknowledged the fee advertised incorrectly, refunded me, and notified maintenance about the mice. She handled it so well that I wasn't even going to leave this poor review until...I got home and checked my bank account to find that after I checked out, paid, and left they went and charged ANOTHER pet fee!!!! Absolutely unreal. I called and was told the manager will be in Wednesday. Not good enough. I called corporate and got my refund and left a terrible review with them too. I've been such a loyal hilton customer for so many years between personal and business travel. I've had years I've reached gold and diamond status. I always recommend hilton brand hotels. For me to leave this review, they really really messed up. So many serious concerns from the health and safety of pets on that premises to double charging/over charging. Hope you guys figure it out cause the rooms are actually really nice and I was excited to hear of a Home2 going in so close to where I go to...
Read moreI had a great experience at Home2 Suites and would definitely stay here again. The property is relatively new and thoughtfully designed, making for a comfortable and convenient stay. I don’t often book home to suites solely based on not receiving as many loyalty points, but I’m glad I did.
The fitness center was a standout feature for me. It includes a couple of treadmills, an elliptical, and a Peloton bike. As someone who travels frequently for work, I’ve come across many subpar hotel bikes—but this one was in excellent condition. It had fully adjustable handlebars and seat, making for one of the best Peloton experiences I’ve had on the road. One of the workers shared with me that Hilton has partnered with peloton and so you will see an increased number of peloton bikes at all Hilton branded hotels. Sometimes I split my loyalty, but this would keep me staying at Hilton hotels more often.
The room layout was spacious and well-organized, with plenty of storage for clothes and luggage. I appreciated the blackout shade, which made the room perfectly dark for sleeping. The room also included a microwave and fridge, multiple outlets with USB ports, and a thoughtfully stocked bathroom. Amenities included shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, liquid hand soap (in addition to a bar soap), and a designated towel rack—a small but much-appreciated detail that helped keep the countertop clutter-free.
While the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant or bar, it’s located right next to the DoubleTree, which does. You can walk over or even have food delivered directly to the hotel—super convenient. I opted to grab a drink and bring it back to my room.
I didn’t try the breakfast, but I did use the milk for coffee. One small suggestion: the 8-ounce milk cartons may not be the most efficient option, as I only used about two ounces and ended up wasting the rest. A milk dispenser might reduce waste and better accommodate guests’ needs. That said, I appreciated the availability of both skim and whole milk, though it would be nice to see a plant-based milk option in the future.
All in all, this was a well-rounded and enjoyable stay. Home2 Suites did a great job with design, comfort, and convenience....
Read moreThis hotel was fantastic. At the time of our visit it hadn’t yet had a review and I think that’s because the page errors out if you click the circles to start a review vs going into the review section. Needless to say there was no reason to worry because this hotel was fantastic. ||It’s new. Real new. We were the first to use the in-room appliances and it might be the only hotel couch I’d ever felt comfortable sitting on without worrying about what might be living in it. Beds are comfy and fully encased, staff is very friendly, the breakfast bar is clean beyond your wildest dreams and our room was spotless. I can only wish that every other hotel would be this pristine. ||Parking is well lit and the surrounding area is dead quiet. There was minimal foot traffic noise that quieted down at an appropriate time. I can’t comment on room to room noise because I’m not sure anyone was next to us but if they were, I heard nothing. Our A/c unit could not fully turn the fan off for total silence, but that isn’t the fault of anyone at the hotel. It kept the room very cold during a massive heat wave too. ||This hotel is a ten minute drive to Farmington Sports Arena if that happens to be why you’re in town. ||I would 100% recommend staying here and would come back for an extended stay in...
