XO by Sophia’s — Attraction in Southport

I wanted to let your team know how much I appreciate the effort that your employees put into their brides. Stasia was my consultant during my wedding dress appointment. She was not only pleasant to be around, but she was truly amazing at her job. She was knowledgeable about what the store had to offer, as well as the designer's specific lines that fit my style. She listened to every word I said to help me find out what my style looks like in dress form. I literally felt like Stasia knew me. It was like I was the only bride she was worried about, like I was so important and she wanted nothing more than to help me find my perfect dress. I probably tried on 20 dresses and the last one that she personally pulled was the one I picked. I had been to 2 other bridal stores prior to Sophia's and they do not compare to my experience that I had here. From the moment my family and I walked in, we felt so welcomed. We were not rushed. We were able to pick out dresses that we wanted to try and it was interactive and fun. Stasia brought me dresses that were totally different so we could narrow down my style. I know she really didn't have to do that. She could've went off of the one style I said I favored and only stuck with that, however she went out of her way to make sure I could rule out the other options they had to offer. My older sister also got her dress from here last year and it was just as pleasant. Each staff member we have interacted with has the same positive, energetic, KIND attitude. Hospitality goes a LONG way. Not to mention there was a huge selection of dresses and many of them were very competitively priced. I had the best experience at Sophia's Bridal. My day had started at another bridal salon in Indy, and although I loved many of the dresses I tried on, and fell in love with "the one" there, it was a very uncomfortable experience. Trying the dresses on was great, but when it came to making a decision, it became pushy and a bit sketchy. I knew we would be heading to Sophia's later in the day, so wanted to wait to make a decision until I had seen more dresses! I mean hello, this was my first time ever trying bridal gowns on.

Fast forward to visiting Sophia's. Holy moly, what a different vibe we got immediately when we walked in (my mom and future mother-in-law were with me). People were laughing, it was welcoming, just so inviting in general. Anna, my consultant, was so sweet and easy to talk to - she was also easy to connect with since she is getting married in April. I truly felt like we could be friends - in fact I felt that way about every single employee I met. Before we had even tried dresses on, I asked if you guys had the one I loved, and although you didn't carry the style (Val by Blush by Hailey Paige), Anna talked to a manager and assured me you would be able to order it. After trying 6 dresses on, I knew Val won.

I am THRILLED that Sophia's was able to order Val for me, because there was no way I was going back to the first salon and giving them my business - no way no how. Sophia's is 30 minutes away from my house, but that means nothing to me given the way we felt and were treated. I truly could not love this place more. I'm so thankful I made an appointment here. My dress budget was a little tight so I was worried I wouldn't be able to find anything but I was so wrong. I found several dresses in my budget that were beautiful. My consultant, Laura, was so sweet. Even when I wasn't sure what I was describing she was able to find dresses that were perfect. She was great about letting me know the price of the dresses in private and would tell me the price of the dress if it was a bit over my budget and it was my choice to try it on or not. At the end of my appointment I thought I had found the dress but I wasn't sure. I am definitely one of those people that needs to try on a million before I really know. I also want to applaud Sohpias because even though the salon was very busy it never felt like my group and I didn't matter. We always felt special! So I scheduled another appointment for later in the week. I tried on my top 3 dresses but something still wasn't right. My consultant that day suggested a sister dress to my favorite and it turned out that it was definitely the dress! I'm so excited to be able to wear the perfect dress on my day. My original consultant, Laura, wasn't working the day I went back which was sad but she mailed me a card saying she was so excited for me and that she was sad she missed the moment.
