We feel to have been treated poorly by Joe's Vendor Emporium.
My partner and I signed up to vend with them in April, and specifically requested and received a booth with electricity. Much of what we sold relied on electricity to showcase it- lights, lamp covers, glow in the dark items.
For the first few months, things went well- the location is great, plenty of foot traffic, and we were making sales.
The issues began when management removed almost all electricity from stalls throughout the store due to electrical issues- which is understandable! However, there was no communication or attempt to make things right. We showed up one day to restock and found that our personal cords had been removed, and we no longer had access to electricity. Strike one.
We also found that in doing so, they had moved around and disturbed several of our products. Management shows they think it's fine to handle, rearrange, and mess with their vendor's products. Strike two.
I went in a week ago and asked to be let out of my six month agreement with them at the end of the month. All went well, until I came back today to pay our rent (since we weren't selling anything due to lack of electricity). I found that they had again handled our items, packing all our delicate glassware haphazardly into boxes over two weeks before the end of the month. Strike three.
To sum it up, the management of Famous Joe's Vendor Emporium has displayed a distinct lack of communication(leading to confusion), is willing to move your stock around without warning or permission(leading to damage), and will pack your stock up the moment you decide to leave, regardless how many days are left on your agreement.
So, if you want to work with a company that communicates poorly, will mishandle your stock, and is petty, by all means vend at Famous Joe's Vendor Emporium.
If management does not like this review, they should reconsider...
Read moreI walked in with the express intent of renting an available space. I WILL NOT SPEND MY MONEY IN AN ESTABLISHMENT THAT EMPLOYS THE RUDEST PEOPLE I'VE EVER HAD THE UNFORTUNATE EXPERIENCE OF INTERACTING WITH. The dark haired woman at the counter YELLED "NO BACKPACKS!" While NOT wearing a face mask.
This would have been ok if in fact I was carrying a back pack. I was carrying my purse which is much, much smaller than any back pack I've ever seen, AND if the woman could have been even one iota of decent towards me, when I stated that it's not a back pack, but rather it is my purse, perhaps I would have overlooked her rudeness and still rented from them.
I tried to explain that I am only there to inquire about renting a space and she very rudely interrupted me, and YELLED again, "NO BACKPACKS, I don't care why you're here". Yeah, this is not how you treat customers, especially one's who are willing to rent a space in your establishment. When I attempted to ask for her Manager's name and contact info, she again interrupted me telling me to get out of the store. She did finally hand me a business card with a nasty, smug smile and said "be sure to ask for Sally" and "Leave the store".
Let me be clear, I am one of the nicest people. I'm always kind and respectful, even to jerks like this lady, but I will not spend my money to rent a space in a location that drives customers away and neither...
Read moreOk. I just got kicked out because I was carrying a purse. My bag measures 6" x 12". It is far from being a backpack...and smaller than most purses. I understand a no backpack policy no problem...but a purse? I was in there with my 2 year old son. Often my bag is stuffed with things I need to keep him entertained, my wallet, my phone, my emergency medictions, masks, sanitizer, and my keys. They are all necessary for my shopping experience and to keep the kid happy so others my enjoy their shopping experiences. I was ready to spend some time here..so I drove an hour to get there...i had been there before and I loved it! So I got mad...they got mad so I left. I came to my car to write a review and tho short haired lady came out of the store twice to look at me. It was in this time I saw a group of women leaving the plce all carrying purses larger than mine. This ruined my day and made me actually cry. I felt like they saw me and didnt like me. Leaving the house is very hard for me as I struggle with agoraphobia. This will be set back. What is it about me that they chose to treat me that way? I really loved that place. I'd say don't go to this place. So sad. Watching the others walk out carrying purses...that was...
