I happened to be in the area off of US 50 just south of the Metropolitan Sewer District of Cincinnati on the banks of the Mill Creek and I was probably about 100 yards North of where the creek empties into the Ohio River. Oh boy how lucky was I to find this little treasure! As I sat there on the banks watching the local fishermen angling carp out of the creek, I was astonished to see the water turn from a deep brown color to a green, then a dark purple and on to an Amber to redish hue. Along with the color changes there were random gems that would float by! At first I would see just random animals like a bloated, dead raccoon, then a hairless bloated cat and something that resembled a beaver who also seemed a bit bloated and missing hair. With each change of water color, more cool stuff appears! I witnessed about 25 to 30 condoms, a couple dozen tampons and more used syringes than I could count! All of this floating right by me and the few fishermen sharing the bank and on out into the Ohio River! As I was fixin' to leave and head back up the steep bank I told the fishermen that they looked pretty well set for dinner for a few days.
