WE LOVE HERBARIA! We live in Texas, but my wife is from STL. On a visit to the Hill during one of our trips to STL to get some Italian Food (praise God) we stopped by herbaria. It was that day that we smelled all of the incredible smells and heard all of the benefits. It was that day that we threw out the bottled body wash from the grocery store. This was 5 years ago, and since then every time we're in STL we buy a dozen bars and in between trips we order them. In a pickle we have purchased individual bars of soap from other companies in our area to hold us over until our Herbaria order arrived, and they all pale in comparison. Our skin is so soft, we have significantly less blemishes, we aren't covering ourselves in chemicals, and our shower smells SO GOOD. The price is so reasonable too, the bars last forever. They also have a shave bar that's better than any "insert manly grooming company here" shaving soap I've used. This isn't a game people, get you some soap. Also I feel the need to clarify since this is such a diehard review that I am in no way being compensated, I just love their soap that much (But I wouldn't hate to be sponsored by Herbaria, if I could walk around like some sort of human NASCAR with it on...

I've been using Herbaria soaps for a little over a year now, and finally had a chance to visit their store. Their personal care products are very well crafted, and easy on skin. They have a very impressive variety of types and scents of soaps, but they also have shampoo bars, shave soap, aftershave, and other products.

Herbaria isn't cheap, but it's worth it. They feature deals when you buy in bulk, and I recommend taking advantage of it. The only negatives are that the store is very fragrant, which can make it hard to smell the individual soaps in store, and can be overwhelming at first, and being on The Hill, the parking around generally sucks. I still recommend stopping in if you're in the area and picking up a bunch of soap.

EDIT: I wanted to clarify a couple of things based off of a reply to this review. First, thank you for information on better places to park, this will help. Secondly, I didn't mean to imply that Herbaria is overpriced, not at all. The soap is a great price for the high quality of the product, but just as a warning to new shoppers. Don't let the sticker price shock you, it's worth...

I first learned about Herbaria soap when the wonderful Cindy Gilberg gave me a bar to try after making a purchase at her beautiful nursery, probably about 15 years ago. I was instantly hooked and ordered the soap online until I moved back into St. Louis. Going to the shop is a real treat, more scents than you can imagine. I also buy the Citronella Mist, it's the most wonderful herbal body mist you could ever want. We use the Ant Away in the Spring, it's a lovely cinnamon scent, no bug spray smell. The Headache rollerball thing is awesome too! I never go out of town without my soap, even if I'm just staying with family. My house guests always look forward to taking home the rest of the soap that was in their bathroom....even the men! Several guests have asked where the shop is so that they could buy more to take back home. Not only do the soaps smell awesome, they rinse clean and never leave a film on either you or the tub. You never feel all dried out. Try it and you will be sold too, it really...

The daughter unit was told good things about Herbaria, so we decided to check it out. First and foremost, they are located on The Hill. Prepare yourself for narrow streets and difficult parking, but it is SO worth it! May gave us a rather lengthy tour of the store. We got to watch Blake while he was making soap in-house. It was really cool. Bubbles the dog was tired after helping entertain 2 school groups, so we let her chill. After the tour, Melissa and May helped us pick out several items. They were very kind and knew their products incredibly well. Melissa said they ship to 65 different countries around the world. And while getting your items shipped to you is great, I HIGHLY recommend going to the shop in person. Get a tour, say hi to Bubbles, and enjoy the great atmosphere that is Herbaria!

Nine years ago I visited this shoppe with my daughter. I purchased different scents of soap. I loved them all and for 9 years I have ordered my annual stick of soaps. I’ve tried many kinds of organic soaps and Herbaria has always been the best. I like that the soap bar doesn’t get goopy or soggy in the shower, it stays firm and doesn’t melt away like most soaps. The scent lasts through the until the end of the soap’s life. Their tiny soaps are great for my travel kit

I love this shop! There is a wide variety of different soaps and body products that you can choose in there! I appreciate that the store employees are so attentive and assisted us right away. They gave us a tour of how the soaps are made, what products they use, and explain the soap process. It’s really important for us choosing fragrance-free soaps because we have sensitive skin, and I am happy we stopped by here. Bubbles the dog is also adorable!
