Our coffee adventure began with the Iced Matcha Latte, a refreshing concoction that boasts a perfect balance of sweetness and the robust flavor of matcha. If you're a fan of iced drinks, don't miss the Iced Vanilla Latte - a smooth blend of quality coffee and creamy vanilla that will cool your senses and ignite your taste buds. For those seeking warmth, the Peach Hot Tea, with its calming aroma and soothing taste, is a comforting delight that shouldn't be missed.
The food at Cafe Dolce isn't just a side show - it's a star in its own right. The Blueberry Scone was a dance of flavors in our mouths, bursting with the sweetness of fresh blueberries wrapped in a delicately baked treat. The croissant sandwiches were a revelation - flaky, buttery, and generously filled, they are a testament to the cafe's commitment to quality and taste.
But Cafe Dolce isn't just about fantastic food and drinks. The service is exceptional, and the ambiance is fun and visually pleasing - a testament to its status as a top St. Louis hotspot. Nestled in a great part of town, the cafe's location adds to its allure, making it a destination not just for a quick bite, but for a delightful culinary adventure.

Stepping into Cafe' Dolce 🍰 feels like being transported straight to a charming piazza in Rome. Nestled in the heart of The Hill, this Italian coffee shop is a true gem. From the warm, welcoming aroma of freshly ground espresso to the sound of Italian chatter and jazz in the background, the vibe is authentic, cozy, and unforgettable. Their espresso? Smooth, rich, and made with true craftsmanship. The cappuccino is perfectly balanced with creamy foam and bold flavor—clearly made with love and precision. I also tried the affogato, and it might just be the best I’ve had outside of Italy—decadent, yet refined.
Pastries are baked fresh daily and pair beautifully with any drink. The cannoli are crisp, filled with subtly sweet ricotta, and dusted just right. Don’t miss the almond biscotti—they’re perfect for dipping and absolutely addictive.
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about coffee and community. Whether you're a local or just visiting The Hill, Cafè Dolce is a must. It’s not just a coffee shop—it’s a full experience. Bellissimo,...
Read moreI didn’t try any of their coffee, but I did seemingly order half of their dessert menu. But if I was to do it again, I’d skip the plethora of different pastries I tried, and instead just buy their entire stock of monachinis.
It was a good thing I was sitting outside the restaurant when I took my first bite into the monachini, because the words “holy f*” came out of my mouth soon after. The light buttery flakiness of the outer layer was so well perfected that it was reminiscent of world-class croissants like Arsicault’s. And the cannoli cream still has me dreaming about it hours later.
The tartufo was mildly disappointing, especially with how visually appealing it was. But everything else besides this and the monachini were a solid 4/5 stars. But the monachini was an experience in itself, and it’s the sole reason I’m giving Cafe Dolce 5/5 stars. If you want a five star dessert experience, you have to try the monachini!
