While it is a very spacious park, it is full of rocks and has no light. The dog I own doesn't do great with other dogs, so we come when no one is there, usually night. Because we go at night, we have to park our car against the fence to have any chance of seeing, and even then we can't actually explore the park, only the entrance. The rocks are EVERYWHERE and range in all sizes. From small rocks you'd find in gravel to massive rocks you'd use to hold your door open, and because they're everywhere, a lot of dogs get hurt when running. Mine, for example, broke one of her nails in the small dog area when she ran after a ball and did a hard stop. While it is a lovely park, please be aware of your dogs paws...
Read moreIt was so much better than I thought it would be! Big long trail going around the park with wooded areas, open areas, and gentle rolling hills. The wooded area goes beyond the trail towards the fully fenced perimeter, and there is a large open field in the center for playing. There are plenty of options for dogs and people to roam. Summers can have heavy mosquito populations due to the water and the large central field is slower to drain than you'd expect BUT it's a huge park with varied terrain and a great trail that feels a bit like hiking....love! Could love more bag and waste stations. I know this park has some exciting changes in the works, it will be great to see...
