Burbank Park District Water Park (Seasonal) — Attraction in Stickney Township

READ THIS REVIEW DANGER A man attempted to lure my daughter to him under the gazebo at Owens park. Luckily I was parked in the car windows down listening watching her.Called Police they came quickly and we just left I don’t want her to be subjected to courts and etc.Brief explanation of what happened,I let her stay after dark to play And As i said I was right there watching.That was my 1st mistake. Never let your kids go to park late Wich is closed anyways after dark,and really think hard about letting them go alone in the daytime period. He constantly for about 3-4 minutes tried to get her to come to him where he was sitting at gazebo.Using terms like hey come over here hey I know you hear me why are you ignoring me this went on for couple minutes yes that long. But here’s the part that put this guy in the phedophile child luring category. He used words that a groomer would use.Hey kid you do you have problems at home,do you have family,is there something bothering you do you wana talk. I was seconds away from getting out from the car and dealing with him I heard enough and suddenly then he said and did something that scared my daughter enough to make her run to the car. He changed his voice to a deep voice and said,hey! I know you hear me!Why are you ignoring me come over here!She ran to the car and I stayed parked there for 5 minutes frozen on what to do.Confront him or 911. I allowed him to continue attempting to lure her to him for 3-4 minutes to see her reaction will she do as I taught her scream run etc. that was why if your wondering why he was allowed to talk to her for so long without me intervening. He was about 20ft away sitting down I was right there so she was safe Plus I wanted to to see how far he’s willing to go.We live in the area and hell ya I wana see if this guy is luring a kid. If he did it once he’ll do it again and has done it before.That’s my point. But when he changed his voice and demanded she come to him that was it.Ok this guy is 100% grooming and luring.I called police.I felt bad for my daughter from me allowing him to continue to creep her out as I sat in the car but I took it as a great learning experience for her and me and so did she as she told me.That made me feel better. Police were there in 1 minute. We been here 20 years in the area they’ve always been like this,quick to come when you need them.That was good. We told them what happened and we left. I didn’t wana let him see her face better and you know didn’t wana put her through anything more so I hoped the police would take his info make sure they got his picture and just keep him in the file.An incident report would be sufficient. If there’s ever a call about a guy matching his description who attempted to talk to little girls in Burbank Well there’s 1 guy you can go check out. Burbank is safe. More then the further suburbs. It was a incident that happens every where.A police car is always passing by somewhere close in all the areas and especially schools and parks.The point Of this post was to wake parents up. I always see little kids walking around alone. Way To young. Left alone at parks. God forbid had I not been there how far he was willing to go. He was adamant in her Coming over to talk to him. Watch the kids and keep your eye out right down suspicious cars plates keep an eye on someone looking odd like a someone staring at kids at Parks or pools checking out houses cars etc. Criminals hate areas that are under surveillance by the neighborhood.This review wasn’t about the pool.Burbank pool is a nice place for kids. The “The Jonas Brothers” who were in charge of closing the facility tonight, could have been more professional when asking us to leave the gym today. We have rented a room for a party and did not know we couldn’t use the gym (two adults, two teenagers and two toddlers). We were simply playing a basketball game with the kids. Two employees (identical/twins) approach us with an aggressive attitude and told us “We couldn’t be there” because we weren’t allowed. Understandable, our mistake, but could have more professional in his approach. It almost seemed as he wanted to punch my brother because he got close to his face. Easily, he could have said, “Hey guys, hate to break the bad news, but you guys are not allowed on the court because it wasn’t part of the package for the party. Sorry.”...

Price seems high for residents. Also arm floaties aren’t allowed in the baby pool, for children as safety.. they have “free ones” you can use but i don’t see why that matters. Yet you can bring in any toys you want. I don’t understand the difference and why it matters to wear your own floaties especially for a child’s safety. I get it you have free ones but going back and forth to get them and spending money on my own why does it matter to use the pools, and then people can bring in any toys they want lol. Idk it doesn’t make sense it’s very weird and a stupid rule. Still a good pool and all but that rule is very odd to me I been coming here since I was little over...
