I am also a loyal customer that has been coming here for over a decade. I never have any issues, & the staff are generally knowledgeable, kind & helpful anytime im there. Reason for 4 stars - I recently bought a "Fancy" female Bearded Dragon that was discounted to $50 PLUS an additional 25% off. I noticed the tip of her tail had stuck shed and was beginning to cut off circulation which would eventually cause tail rot. Leading me to my next point, the sales girl that helped me pack Meleys up (The Bearded Dragon's new name) mentioned there was another in the back "in bad shape" with "tail rot", "missing fingers" and an infection. If the other was anything like the one I purchased, it could have been prevented by giving a little extra attention via soaking the affected spot(s) of the stuck shed, & helping lossen it up with a soft bristle brush. Works wonders on getting that pesky stuck shed off the tail, a common issue in the Bearded dragon community. 2) Insufficient UVB for the Bearded dragons. The best reccomendation for your Bearded Dragons to thrive is a t5 10.0 UVB linear bulb. Not the screw in one's that only cover a spotted area. These have been proven to not be sufficient for Beardies, & leads to Loss of appetite, lethargy, brittle bones, & ultimately MBD, a potentially fatal condition that is 100% preventable. I understand, it's a temporary home until they find their forever home. Unfortunately, a lot of them end up sitting way longer than anticipated. Due to sitting for weeks/months without proper lighting and attention can lead to loss of revenue from the Bearded Dragons passing away from preventable conditions. I suggest a light calcium without d3 dusting each feeding, & upgrading to a T8 linear bulb at the very least, & keeping a close eye for stuck shed to tackle the problem before it comes a liability. In the few days ive had mine, ive successfully removed the stuck shed reintroducing bloodflow to the tip of the tail, removing the risk of tail rot. I also upgraded to a T5 10.0 UVB 22inch linear bulb, & began proper supplement schedules with feeding. Here she is just a few days later, energetic and perked up. The beginning of what I hope to be a decade long journey. Thanks for the new addition to the family, consider my suggestions above. The difference in cost to upgrade the lighting, dust their food, and give a little extra care with occasional water soak & even an additive to help stuck shed if necessary will be made up by not having more complete losses of revenue from unpresentable/unsellable Beardies...

on October 14, 2024 ... i came into the store to purchase a few thing for my cats ... i came pretty far and the reason why is because my previous EXPERIENCE| was AWESOME... BUT on this day ...OMG.. THE MANAGER ON DUTY WAS VERY RUDE... the cashier was wonderful.. this is what happened the previous cashier didn't register me in the system to received any discount. .my purchase was not much but i wanted any coupons or email to be sent to me about sales items. when i asked for the manager to explained his attitude was HORRIBLE.. I ASKED FOR HIS DISTRICT MANAGER NUMBER HIS RESPONDED WAS I CAN'T GIVE YOU THAT... I ASKED FOR CORPORATE NUMBER ...HE TOLD THE CASHIER TO GO ON THE WEBSITE TO GIVE ME THE 1800 NUMBER.. WILL I BE COMING BACK.... "NEVER WILL" IF I HAVE TO PURCHASE ON LINE THAT'S WHAT I WILL DO ... THE MANAGER NEEDS TO BE RE-TRAIN OR REMOVED A.S.A.P I HOPE THIS STORE CLOSE ... I canceled my 9-year relationship with Chewy for so many repeat reasons.
