Bullard Woods was donated to the Stockbridge Bowl Association in the mid twentieth century. It's a gorgeous, meandering set of trails feauturing, well, wooded areas (of course) but also fields and a beautiful waterfront with a few picnic tables. It also connects to Gould Meadows to the West via the Tanglewood Connector Trail. Kudos to the SBA, Tanglewood and the Town of Stockbridge for preserving the entire northern portion of the Bowl and making its trails available to the public. It's open all year and it's a great place to bring your dog and is considered one of the best dog walking locales in the Berkshires. Finally, it's a great spot to see wildlife. I've had numerous fox sitings and deer of course, but my favorite was the beaver along the shores of the Bowl, which I captured in a photo below.
