Nelson Park — Attraction in Stockton

So the homeowners pay for the maintenance and upkeep of the area, but it's a first come first serve for the park and BBQ areas. Also the park gets extremely overcrowded when it comes to parking on the weekends. I've seen homeowners not be able to pull out of their driveways at times. Fun park! Not super big but enough area to play games with friends or family. One downside is in the summer it gets very hot and there is not much shade. The trees are still young and don't provide much cover. There is a covered area, but it is first come first serve, so if you plan to use it for an event, you have to get there very early to claim it. Nelson park is very clean to start. In the summer there are music bands that play here and a lot of space to relax and watch. It’s the perfect place to have a picnic and also a birthday party.
