Not a good experience from the start. I live near Date and Time and wanted to establish a relationship with a local Rolex AD as my previous AD sold his business. I also had my eye on a Roberto Coin pendant for my wife. Based on the reviews, it appears that the business is genuine and values customers but that was not my experience as a brand new customer.
Let’s start with the very first interaction at this business, which set the tone going forward. As soon as I buzzed, 3 men hanging out on a couch reluctantly stared at me and eventually let me in after some banter back and forth between the group. One of the 3 gentlemen eventually decided to greet me and was just not interested in helping. Based on his general I don’t care attitude, I gather that he didn’t want to be bothered while hanging out with his bros.
The first interaction with a business sets the tone moving forward. Not only was there an indifference towards my business and time, there was a true lack of professionalism here. I certainly don’t expect anyone to wear a three piece suit, but how a company representative (employee or owner…doesn’t matter) dresses to greet customers says alot about their character and courtesy for a customer. The gentleman greeting me was wearing a wrinkled pair of sweat pants and hoody. Just a lack of courtesy and professionalism overall from the very start.
But hey…I was already there, took time away from my family to visit and was curious to see if we could do business. Interaction with the sales lady was generally pleasant but there was a degree of shrewdness associated with the communication on the process to order a Rolex. That in turn made me not willing to move forward with the Roberto Coin purchase (I had to use self control to not purchase since I walked in ready to buy a specific pendant and it was a sale!)
Luckily, they are not the only AD in the metro area and I found the same Roberto Coin pendant I wanted for my wife at Saks. It’s unfortunate that I cannot give my business to this...
Read moreLast, month I took my parents to Date and Time. We were immediately greeted by Lisa. I explained to Lisa that I was looking to purchase my parents their first Rolexes. Lisa kindly took the time to understand what configuration my parents wanted. After my parents put in their request, I put in an order for a GMT II Master “Root Beer” for myself. I also had to try on the latest 41mm Submariner no-date and told Lisa that I wanted to try on a couple of Tudor Black Bays (BB). Lisa had a smile on her face which sparked my curiosity. I tried on a BB 58 and BB Chrono, then Lisa said she had something special that wasn’t on display. She brought out the latest BB Burgundy on a 5 link bracelet! I was blown away by how beautiful it was in person and most importantly on my wrist. It had so much character and I loved the vintage vibe. I asked Lisa if it was available for purchase and she smiled and said yes! Shortly after trying it, I bought it! Lisa knew after trying the no-date Sub that I would love the BB. I’ve received compliments by coworkers who are watch enthusiasts and I truly enjoy the watch.
About 3 weeks later, I received a text from Lisa letting me know my Dad’s Datejust was in! I was so surprise that the watch came in so soon.
That Saturday I went with my family to pick up my Dad’s watch. Lisa had the day off so she made arrangements with her manager Beverly and Rolande.
While Rolande fitted my Dad’s watch, Beverly catered to my 3 daughters - ages 10 and 8. She sat them at the bar, served them snacks and drinks and kept them company the whole time. She genuinely enjoyed talking to them! My wife and I were so impressed.
The staff at Date and Time are not only professional and provide excellent service, they are kind and friendly!
This is my Dad’s first Rolex and he absolutely loves it! I eagerly await the call for my Mom’s Datejust next!
Thank you Lisa, Beverly and Rolande for the superior...
Read moreHorrible experience and lack of trust and confidence in Date & Time. I was hoping to be able to write a glowing review about exceptional service but sadly the experience has been less than stellar and I am sharing my experience to spare you the trouble. To start there is poor communication, poor selection of inventory, poor ability to stock inventory, along with poor overall customer service. If I could give less than 1 star I would. It’s been almost a year next month that I have been waiting for a Yachmaster 42 Titanium. I have kindly reached out by email in January and it has gone unanswered. Clearly too busy to respond. The previous generic email I received from Date & Time was in October and said
“I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to provide you with an update on the status of your Rolex wishlist, which you have been patiently waiting for. We understand the importance of this purchase to you and greatly appreciate your continued interest in our products.
Due to high demand acquiring the specific watch you desire may take a bit longer than anticipated. Please rest assured that our team is sparing no effort to locate the exact timepiece you have on your wishlist.
In the meantime, if you have any questions or require any assistance, feel free to reach out to me. We are committed to ensuring that your experience with us is nothing short of exceptional.
Thank you once again for your trust and patience throughout this process. We value you as a customer and look forward to making your Rolex dream come true.”
If you are reading this, do yourself a favor don’t waste your time here and shop elsewhere. Seems like they get minimal allocations of Rolex and I’m surprised they are authorized by Rolex as it seems like their focus is on everything but Rolex as they couldn’t be bothered selling “high end” watches and certainly don’t value the customer or...
