The San Francisco Bay Trail is quite underwhelming, especially when compared to the stunning trails of Cupertino, Saratoga, and Los Altos. While it offers expansive bay views, the scenery feels monotonous, lacking the lush greenery and elevation changes that make other trails more enjoyable. A major downside is that parts of the trail are built over a landfill, and every so often, a foul stench fills the air—an experience unpleasant enough to make me want to turn back.
