While certainly not cheap, this was an incredible experience that I would highly recommend to any car enthusiast visiting Vegas. While a friend gave me a gift card for this experience, I don't really enjoy Vegas but found myself here this week for a work trip so I decided to finally take advantage of this gift.

While I have plenty of track experience from racing $500 crapcan cars for nearly a decade in the 24 Hours of Lemons, I've never driven a proper GT class racecar so i decided to opt for 2 warm-up labs in a Corvette C8 followed by 16 laps in the naturally aspirated Ferrari 458 GT racecar. The other reality I recognize is that while I may likely buy a "real" Ferrari (one that is not a project car) a 911 or even a Lambo, I'm not stupid enough to buy a GT car because I simply wouldn't track it enough to make it worth owning. Not many people can justify such a purchase unless they live in a private motorsports ranch, or are willing to bankroll someone else prepping/storing/transporting their car to various track days. I'm not that much of a baller.

Driving a pure race car was a unique experience. It helps to approach the car cautiously but after getting familiarized with the track during the ridealong in a Lexus, having 2 laps on a C8 (easy to drive fast but honestly could be a little more raw), I experienced 2 sessions of 8 laps in the Ferrari 458GT. While the 488GT is also on offer (along with some other niche vehicles like the KTM XBOW and the Maserati MC20), I really wanted to experience this high revving, naturally aspirated V8 since (for a brief time), I owned a Ferrari w/ a V8 before I pulled the engine.

This experience was made even easier with the friendly, calm and collected instructions from my instructor Paul Parquette. Paul was an absolute professional who gave good feedback on how to get faster in certain sections, when to brake/downshift/upshift. If you are confident in your car handling capabilities and willing to put your ego aside to learn, its easy to see yourself get faster as you run more laps. The only sad part is that the sessions were over before I knew it. I got to the point where I could catch other cars on the track (a street 911 and a street Lambo) and get point bys but I know I never got familiar enough with the car to really feel like I "drove it in anger". That's tough to do with only 16 laps on a 1.2mi course.

Still a wonderful experience. I suspect i'll be back and next time, I think I'll try the KTM or Gallardo GT.

PS. I also want to add that this seems to be a very labor intensive business but they seem to make it work. Sergio the manager and Anthony at the front desk were super friendly...

I was In LV for work and decided to go to Dream Racing on a day off.

Overall a very good experience. I like how friendly the staff were and the huge selection of vehicles on offer with quite a few that aren't on offer elsewhere. Hence the reason I went for the Corvette Z06 as there are non in England at this moment in time.

I do have a few bugs. Firstly finding the lounge/sign on desk was difficult. I had to ask somebody, who just so happened to be a member of staff, where it was. Perhaps some more signage to direct people to the media centre would be helpful. Especially as I first drove into the track area as its the first big 'Dream racing' sign that is seen. The only reason I carried on was that the direction info in the conformation email was different to where I actually was.

A minor point is that the pictures and description on the website are a little misleading e.g. "Our Lounge with panoramic terrace overlooking the track..." During my visit I didn't see any obvious terrace or lounge, especially not anything looking like the websites pictures.

I'm annoyed that I didn't get a simulator session as that is the reason I chose dream racing over the EXR or SpeedVegas. I was hoping for a simulator session for a bit of coaching so that the actual drive was not so much of an overload allowing more focus on the track. I did see in the small print a bit about some simulators not being available and other options in place. However I don't think 1 lap in a mini van (as impressive as it was) really counts as coaching. This is the biggest reason I've knocked 2 stars.

The lap counting is a bit cheesy as you pay for "5" laps but on really get 3 full laps. Although this counting system is made clear even before purchase.

However, the facilities are very clean and look professional. The training room with the view of the speedway finish line is quite special. Also the option to drive racing spec cars is quite something, albeit out of my price range. The instructors are very patient. I think I had TJ. He threw just enough at me to make the most of the session but not so much that the session would be ruined by too many commands. I do feel like I was allowed to push the car as fast as I could (no where near the cars limits probably). Unlike some places that seem to limit your drive. I also like that all the cars not on track are open and I could get in and have a look.

I thank Dream Racing for a new experience. If I ever get the chance to come again I would seriously consider dream racing again. My only regret is that is was over all to quickly...

I booked the appointment in advance a few days before. I got the multi-car combo which is the best value for the money. I got a 4 warm up laps in the Nissan GT-R as well and got to drive the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 and the Audi R8 because I was in the market for one of these and it was a great test drive opportunity to explore the limits of these vehicles. I woke up on Sunday morning beyond excited to try them out. I didn’t care about no casinos, hotels or restaurants…I could barely sleep the night before. But my excitement quickly came to an end as I was hit with the pouring rain. I was extremely disappointed since I thought they would cancel the appointment but no. I called them and we are still in the money. I don’t have time to care about the track being wet or personal safety anymore as the inner F1 driver was urging me to take the leap of faith. I booked an Uber and arrived at the location after 45 minutes. The facility is extremely clean and nice. They quickly got me with a designated instructor before the drive and we spent 30 minutes learning about racing techniques a driving in the rain before getting my hands on the vehicles. I memorized every word. It was like scriptures from the Bible. I couldn’t wait anymore to show my teacher my techniques so he could be proud to have a such an amazing disciple like me. I went on the GT-R, adjusted the seats. Got on the track for the first time and I butchered it. My lines were terrible, I was scared of the speed in the rain because I didn’t want to spin it out since it’s not my car. Everything I knew about racing on the streets of Texas quickly became useless. My pride and my arrogance evaporated quickly after I realized that I was absolutely dog s**t at driving. I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing but my coach was super patient with me and taught me to become a better driver throughout the experience. I was peak when I was with the GT4 because the car put extremely consistent lap time and was sharp like threading needles. Steering response was amazing so I decided to buy it after the is experience. I would recommend this place to anyone who has a chance to go to Las Vegas. I would come here again every time I go to Vegas. Most memorable memories were...
