Volo Craft Pizza — Attraction in Swampscott

Volo craft pizza...where can I begin. This pizza saved my life. The wife Kathy and I have been going through a rough patch...(the usual...dealing with anger issues and too many kids...) We don’t live near these parts...from New Hampshire actually...but on one of my many escapades I happened to drive through Swampscott. Passing through, I immediately noticed the delectable aroma wafting through the streets...I parked my car to find it’s source...how could I not? Upon entering Volo I noted the comforting atmosphere...The staff were so kind...They didn’t even mind my rambling about my very likely divorce......Just when I thought things couldn’t get any better, they did. Upon getting my pizza my mouth immediately started watering. My first bite was a spiritual experience...every bite released a spark of joy that I hadn’t felt in years...As soon as I finished with my pizza I ordered 3 more and rushed home to see Kathy. She was so delighted to see that I had come home quickly and hadn’t brought home yet another stray dog......As soon as Kathy took her first bite she told me she loved me for the first time in 20 years...Tears were shed...Big thank you to Volo from Kathy and I, for saving our...

Last night I had the pleasure of visiting Volo Craft Pizza in Swampscott, MA — and wow, what an experience! 🌊🍕

The ambiance right by the water is beautiful, with Boston’s skyline in the distance, and the service made us feel right at home. Owners Pina and Tony are so warm and personable — it truly feels like family when you’re there.

Now, the food… absolutely incredible. Having grown up with New York City parents (and with my own background working in a pizza restaurant), I know good pizza when I taste it — and this was next-level. Their Detroit-style Double Trouble pizza with hot honey was out of this world. 🍯🔥 The Caesar salad with fresh-grated cheese was crisp and flavorful, and don’t even get me started on the cannolis with chocolate chips and lemon — pure heaven. 🍋🍫

I’d happily drive 35 minutes any day for this. The pizzas are clearly made with love, and I can’t wait to bring my parents back to try it. If you’re anywhere near the North Shore (or even if you’re not) — do yourself a favor and try Volo. Highly recommend! 🙌

Yesterday I was driving with my kids, And they would not be quiet about being hungry! I'm not from around here you know, so I didn't know a lot of places but I see this pizza place and I'm like, oh my god wow, that's the solution to shut my kids up (joking ofc, love the kids, wish my wife helped with em more though) and so anyway I drop in, pick up a pie, Detroit style! I'm from Detroit so that means a whole lot to me, GO LIONS! And so I give my kids this and they were absolutely shocked with its heavenly flavor. Now I'm used to working with not so kind customer service, trust me on that one, BUT THESE FOLKS WERE AMAZING! Served me the best possible thing I needed in this desperate time and it was ready in lightning speed. I owe my life to Volo, really do. I'm moving to Swampscott be closer to this amazing, fantastically good restaurant. It's changed my life for the better. I need to thank everyone who works here. Amazing place really I love it. So full of life, and love and passion, VOLO is. I'm tearing up it's so heart warming. Thank you...
