Lower McDowell Creek Falls — Attraction in Sweet Home

This place is beautiful! The lower falls train is an easy walk with some incline in spots. Then it turns into steep steps to get to top of lower falls or you can turn left in bridge to see the falls from a bottom perspective. There is a bench to rest on across the bridge and then you can continue your hike onward to the Majestic Falls. If you walk up the stairs there is also a path to continue onward on. This is a great place for children to explore with many natural adventures. There is also a outhouse in the parking area. We parked at the middle parking lot and realized we could have parked right at the trailhead to this waterfall. It was an easy hike from the middle parking lot. The trail makes its way to all three waterfalls but you can park at each waterfall for a short walk down the parking lot. The Lower McDowell Creek Falls creates a nice deep pool if you’d like to jump in. Beware, the water is pretty cold, but might be nice if you do the full hike from one of the...

Lower McDowell, Majestic & Royal Terrace Falls are all well worth the visit. Going in the Fall has been interesting because of the lack of rain. Going back in Spring to take more photos of the Falls all with more water in them. It will be super cool to photograph the difference.
