Who knew we had such a jewel nearby! We explored the entire place and what I liked about it from a park layout perspective is how accommodating it is for different types of visitors. You can choose your own adventure and distance, but even then, if you miscalculate your abilities, there is always a chance to change the itinerary and come out a winner. The park offers multiple picturesque views of hidden waterfalls along the hike from different angles and perspectives. Whether you are the type of person who likes to feel the waterfall breathing in your face or a different type who likes to absorb the natural beauty from afar and safety of the wooden platforms with railings - you got it. Dog lovers, I have a special note for you: keep your friends on leash and controlled. Many park visitors bring their dogs and if yours is more aggressive than others, keep in mind that there are many narrow passages that will make you regret bringing your pup along. Save yourself trouble if your pup can't handle other dogs. Kids will love this place, the hikes are interesting and have frequent changes and interesting interruptions for them to enjoy. Many picnic tables at the beginning of the trails to enjoy family celebration or a lunch break. There are several areas where you can get wet if desired so and even swim ops if you are the type that can tolerate the cold temperature...

Have come back twice, since my last review. I have seen Majestic, Lower McDowell & Royal Terrace Falls now. Such an amazing park to take photos at. I would like to come all 4 seasons & capture photos now. The beauty is just endless, just like the trails. One day I would like to see better signage of the main road, for the turn off for the road to the Majestic Falls parking lot. I see a lot of folks missing that road.

Lovely area, much cooler in temperature there right now, path is muddy & slippery, please be careful. SO much beauty here. The Royal Terrace Falls were quite low on water, but still awesome & we didn't know how far of a hike that Majestic Falls were from the sign, because it doesn't state how far it is, on the sign. The Majestic Falls were about a 5 minute hike from the parking lot. I would love to go back, but as I stated before, the sign doesn't state how far Majestic Falls are. The air was crisp & clean, the sights & sounds were delighful, we saw Birds & Deer there too. I think we shall go back, after researching the hike distance to Majestic Falls.
