So I’m not sure if the people that work at this Sephora read this or not. But hi my name is Amanda. I haven’t been in in a while, but I will be in that area soon and just in case you guys do read this I wanted to let you know that I am the girl who has long dark hair and tattoos (pic for reference) I’m the one that you guys surround and stalk, like I’m stealing. Even though I’ve never stolen a single item from your store, and I always make expensive purchases. The second to last time I was there, I had 4 of the employees circle me following every move that I made to the point where I dropped the basket of things on the floored and booked it out of there because I felt so uncomfortable. In hindsight, they Probably thought oh she just stolen got away with it and not oh I am harassing an innocent customer to the point that they don’t want to be here. Because I didn’t get the things that I needed that day, I had to come back the next day and when I walked in and asked for the perfume I wanted two of them came up to me and the one behind me I heard whispered do we call security, which is hilarious They ended up not. I guess I went to the front and pulled out all my money to pay which there was a lot of, she seemed surprised. so I just wanted to say that if the reason you guys act like I’m stealing is because you look at me and assume I don’t have enough money to pay for things that’s really rude , judging someone on how they look and assuming how much they make is awful. I don’t do that, I use Google to look up how much the employees of this Sephora make there and I wanted to let them know that they’re probably under the Assumption that everyone is as at the pay level they are, but that’s not the case! In fact, I make in a day maybe two days roughly what they make in a two week paycheck. So in the future when I come in if you could just be kind and helpful and not treat me like a criminal that would be great. I Spend significantly more than Sephora and the average customer does so you would think I would be treated better...
Read moreI am so thankful to their staff esp. Carolina, one of their master etheticians, for doing my bridal makeup and my facial. I availed two services from them, one was the hydrafacial and two, the bridal makeup (makeup trial and glam makeup).
Overall, I am sooooo pleased with my experience. I'm sharing a detailed review as I have seen zero review about the services they offer in-store.
Also, pictures below are for reference after I got the services done (hydrafacial and makeup).
BRIDAL MAKEUP Carolina listened very well to what I need on the day of my wedding. Although the makeup was done in the middle of the store (which I thought at first was awkward), she made it so amazing that I did not care about the other people. Everyone complimented how great my makeup was and how it looked so natural yet so flawless.
HYDRAFACIAL I told Carolina how different my experience was with Sephora versus the two spa shops I've been to., Hydrafacial was what I was looking for exactly (you will see the effect immediately - my skin was plumped, glowy and it sucked away my dead skin and black & white heads). I will definitely recommend this to everyone who are after facial skin care and not just facial massage!
OTHER ITEMS Here are the other things I liked about the services I got: Pricing - it will not break the bank! I got the hydrafacial done for only $60, the makeup trial for $60 and glam makeup for $90. Products Used - since it is done in Sephora, estheticians have access to all kinds of products that would work well with your makeup and skin. They also have the products used listed in your online Sephora account (which I think is really great as my reference in case I need to find the foundation for example that worked great for my skin). Timeliness - my appointments started on time. If you are late, they give you a grace period of 15 minutes so you can still make it in your scheduled...
Read moreI have been to this Tacoma Mall Sephora store on so many occasions that I lost count. Each time I was always greeted & asked if I needed assistance, including my most current visit earlier this week, when I was assisted by the lovely Maya Rodriguez. I do not know if each Sephora employee goes thru a required amount of training, but whatever the training regiment, they are doing it right. Maya was so pleasant, patient & most important, knowledgeable at color matching me with the Tarte full coverage under eye concealer. I questioned the shades she chose over the darker ones I picked, but after letting her try all of them on me, Maya was spot on. She matched the shades for my skintone better than I matched myself :-) I enjoyed my time with her. Thanks Maya, you're an awesome young lady & I appreciate the time you took with me!!! I went home with two samples because I had to decide which I would use the most since I sometimes use a sunless tanner on my face. I have had a hectic week, but I will be back lin the next few days to make my purchase. My name is Mea & I am a 55 year old multi-racial female. After reading many reviews, the negative ones ranging from people saying they were ignored & not asked for assistance, to saying their skin was not color matched correctly, to saying they were treated rudely because they were older, etc., I wish I would have taken the time to write a review for each of my many positive experiences I've had at the Tacoma Mall Sephora store. I know you can only go by your personal experience, but please keep in mind, no business always has a perfect day. If your experience was not a good one, be politely vocal about it, & at least give that business a 2nd chance to make things right by you. I look foward to my next...
