I recently visited Azteca with great anticipation, hoping to enjoy a delightful dining experience. However, my expectations were shattered as my friends and I endured an incredibly disappointing evening. Regrettably, I must share my unfortunate experience, which left me questioning the quality and service at this establishment.

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the hostess, which initially gave us hope for a pleasant evening. However, our optimism quickly turned into frustration as we waited a staggering 20 minutes without any acknowledgment from the staff. No one bothered to approach our table to take our drink orders or even provide menus.

To add insult to injury, the only item that graced our table during this extensive waiting period was a meager bowl of chips and salsa. While I appreciate complimentary snacks, they hardly compensate for the absence of service and a complete disregard for our dining needs.

As time dragged on, we grew increasingly disillusioned with the lack of attention from the servers. It became apparent that our table had become invisible to the staff, despite numerous attempts to grab their attention. The inexcusable delay in taking our drink orders or offering an explanation for the delay only compounded our frustration.

After enduring this ordeal, we made the difficult decision to leave the restaurant, both hungry and utterly dissatisfied. It was disheartening to witness such poor service and an apparent lack of regard for customer satisfaction.

In all honesty, I cannot fathom how a restaurant with such woeful service can expect to thrive in a competitive dining scene. Patrons deserve to be treated with respect, and their dining experience should be a priority for any establishment. Unfortunately, Azteca failed miserably in this regard, leaving a sour taste in our mouths both literally and figuratively.

I urge potential diners to think twice before choosing Azteca as their dining destination. In town visiting my daughter and we decided on going here based on what seemed like good reviews, and others recommendations - BIG MISTAKE!!! First, should have walked out the door when I seen the table was dirty and their salsa is just canned tomato sauce/paste with a little tomato and onion diced in. 🤮 Plus one of the little bowls they brought out had an ice-cube in it! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ My husband ordered the asada tacos and said the meat was not hot and had to request extra corn tortillas because they only gave him 3. All other Mexican restaurants usually double up the corn since they tear easily. My daughter and her partner ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas for two and they came out mediocre - they weren’t even hot and sizzling or steaming, which she said something about and the waiter said they’re still pretty warm. We ordered the ACP for the littles to split but had to request queso or white cheese sauce to top it because they were going to put regular cheese, same with my chimichanga 😳😬 Never been anywhere in the country that serves ACP or Chimichangas with regular cheese and not cheese sauce covering them. The rice was the worst Mexican rice I’d ever had, plus guess what, it was cold!! So not sure HOW this restaurant has good reviews serving barely warm food and down right horrible mexican food. Unless you’ve never had good mexican food in your life this place will for sure disappoint!! Lastly, the pricing was very expensive for the quality of food. $167 is alot for a meal that was the worst Mexican food I’d ever had!!
