This review is from when I came here April 7th.
We made a reservation after reading all the horrible reviews about wait time. We still ended up waiting 15 minutes. A little frustrating, but no big deal. Things happen.
The menu is huge and a little overwhelming at times. Part of me feels like getting the Thai, Indian, and Chinese dishes offered here would be a bad idea. If anything, I’d go to an authentic restaurant or support a smaller business if I wanted any of those dishes. The prices are a bit much for what you get in my opinion. If the food and proportions were better then I’d say it’s worth the money.
The atmosphere is nice. It’s busy, a little loud, and dimly lit. One thing I’ve always disliked about this place is how dark it is in here. Our server was nice! She was friendly and checked on us to make sure things were going well and that we weren’t waiting too long. And she pointed out some of the popular beverages and cheesecakes and which ones she thought were good as well. Another server, Tammy (I think that was her name), wasn’t even serving us and she was so busy too, but she still stopped by and let me know that my phone was falling out of my pocket. That was so sweet of her to do that when she was already running around.
The food… not horrible but not amazing. Our bread came burnt and cold so that was a no go. It was free, so that’s nice…but it’s like gifting a broken toy. You can’t use it, so what’s the point? You can’t eat cold bricks, so what’s the point in giving it? Our drinks, on the other hand, were delicious! I’d pay for the drinks again. I think I preferred the more minty, refreshing beverage than the guava one. Our main dishes…
1.) the bacon cheeseburger… “Charbroiled and Covered with Melted Cheddar and American Cheese, Crispy Bacon, Thick-Cut Slow Roasted Smoked Bacon and Secret Sauce”…tasted like any other diner burger but a little more disappointing since the cheese wasn’t melted and slightly cold and clumpy in the middle, the patty itself was small so most of what I ate was bread, the consistency of the slices of bacon was weird (the two chunks of bacon on the plate were on my burger and it was just squishy and disgusting), and there was no secret sauce on my burger. It was straight ketchup. And I hate ketchup. 2.) French dip cheeseburger… “Charbroiled Cheeseburger Served on a Toasted Brioche Roll with Grilled Onions, Sriracha Mayo and Au Jus for Dipping”… definitely came with onions, but did not come made with sriracha mayo, so it wasn’t very flavorful and overall disappointing. The Au Jus also had this blue plastic, hard thing in the bowl and it was pretty stuck in there too. I wish we had noticed it earlier. Stuff like that is gross. 3.) Cheesecakes!! We got the peanut butter one and the Cinnabon one. Delicious. Worth the money. Would come again and will be coming just for the cheesecakes. Everything else…pass.
Pros: •nice, attentive staff •cheesecake is delicious and worth the money
Cons: •food…which is the main reason of coming here •prices of main food… because the food wasn’t worth it •cleanliness is...
Read moreI unfortunately had the worst dining experience ever & I didn’t even eat. The male server/waiter, my partner and I had was rude to put it lightly. Upon arriving to the restaurant my partner and I decided to sit on the patio. We waited there for about 15 minutes before even seeing our server. When he arrived at our table, without even giving the slightest eye contact, asked us if we would like water. Not drinks, or anything else, just water. We ordered drinks and that was the last we saw of him at our table. Once we received our drinks from another server, another waiter visited our table, she was polite. She informed us that our server was on his break and that is why he has not come back out . Even though she said that, we saw our server serving the other two tables with other customers at them. The entire time he ignored us and then when another family arrived in the back he didn’t serve them either. The only thing we had in common with the other family that he did not serve was that we were black . He continue to serve everyone else on the patio but our two tables. My partner and I found that odd. We wondered amongst ourselves was he being prejudice or something in that category. So we waited to see if he would ever return to our table to ask us if we’d like anything else. We also noticed he did not visit the other table with the other black family. The entire time he still avoid eye contact with us. Growing uncomfortable, my partner and I decided to leave. When we walked out of the patio and walked up to pay our bill at the to go line, all of a sudden our waiter was able to speak and give us eye Contact trying to hurry and check us out. I informed him that we did not receive any food we only had our drinks in one salad . I also informed him that I was waiting on a manager because I definitely needed to discuss his behavior with her. It was such a shocking experience my partner was rendered speechless, while I had the conversation with the manager. It was honestly the worst experience dining out in Washington we have ever had. In the cheesecake factory , or any other restaurant. To be honest, if I could get zero to negative stars a rating for this experience I would. The only saving grace was the politeness of the manager and the other waitress...
Read moreThis was one of the worst experiences I have had with this restaurant chain the hostess didn't know what they were doing came in as a party of 10 told the wait was 30-40 minutes winded up waiting over an hour kept being told that our table was being cleaned at least 4 times after I went up after about 50 minutes of waiting and then when they finally figured out to push the tables together for our party I was told by the hostess that table doesn't seat 10 it seats 7 you can go check for yourself (which I did after and what do u know the table/booth had 5 chairs on oneside and enough space for 5 on the booth side) she called a manager up and he wasn't any help either look I know how to manage a restaurant cause I have done it and the way this location is ran is crazy even the manager kept telling me the table is being cleaned when the table was ready cause they sat us in that table/booth and after being sat it took at least another 10 minutes before we even got a waitress over to take our drink orders.. it took long enough that we all knew what we wanted before she even came to get our drinks. She was a very nice waitress but the service here is slow and they do not even know what they are doing when we got there it wasn't that busy it was steady but not over busy. I go to the Cheesecake factory at least 3-4 times in FL where the service is better but this location needs re-training of all staff members not to even mention that my sons food a kids roadside sliders didn't come out have a feeling his food was delivered to a table next to us I had to ask for his food when everyone else had there's already. Getting cheesecake for dessert it took them another 30 minutes at least to deliver 3 cheesecakes and brownie sundae we literally joked about what are they doing milking the cow to make it. Giving 3 stars is being nice and they only got that cause ther waitress was at...
