Lake Forest Beach — Attraction in Tahoe City

The water here is cloudy, which is unusual for the water around Lake Tahoe. There were quite a number of dogs, which is normally a good thing since we had our 75 pound fellow, but this beach is very small and these dogs were all big and frisky. Altogether I think I saw about 3 picnic tables, so think about getting there early. Also, don’t think you’ll sun on a sandy beach, no sand and very small with lots of bushes. Today was our first time to Lake Forest Beach! We were not disappointed! Street parking is extremely close to the beach, which makes unloading and reloading the cars super easy! They offered an outhouse for facilities, which was ok. It didn't have a bad smell so that is a plus one in my books! There were also many picnic tables with bbqs for day trip meals. The sandy beach was great for the kids to play!...

Rocky Beach that hurts your feet. Gloomy Beach thats plain. Water freezing cold on an 80 degree day. Not totally sure what the appeal is about this popular lake unless the other beaches are a lot better. Was VERY grateful they had a portapotty there though.
