Lake Tahoe US Coast Guard A-Frame Cabins — Hotel in Tahoe City

We stayed at Forest View 3 with our toddler in early August. Easy check in during normal hours. Forest View 3 is the top floor to the cabin farthest from the water. You have easy access to the pier next to the boat landing after you climb over a few rocks. The kitchen had all necessary items (pots, pans, utensils, cutlery, plates). Very quiet floors. The rooms do not have air conditioning as is normal for most places in this area. Cabin was perfect for a family getaway! The weather didn't cooperate with us on Memorial Day weekend, but the weekend was still amazing. Close to hundreds of local hikes and other outdoors adventures. Cabin was fully stocked with everything you need to cook/grill (gas grill) the ironing board was stained with an unknown brown liquid and the iron was ancient/broken. Luckily if you're just adventuring outdoors you won't need an iron. If you plan on a nice night out (Tahoe City has great restaurants and is 10 minutes away) I suggest pre-pressing...

This is a great little hidden gem! It's available to military and is an inexpensive alternative to local hotels. It's within the gated base of the Coast Guard station and has 4 different options for rentals. Each A-frame has two small apartments. We stayed in the two bedroom on the bottom of the forest view. Both A-frames are right next to each other and pretty much have a similar view. The best part is it's right by the lake and it also close to restaurants and shopping. There is a public dock...
