One of the differentiators that makes our Graduate School such an engaged and vibrant community of scholars is the in-person residencies that we host for a variety of programs. In fact, I'm still riding the high from our week of residencies for our doctoral students held last week! The students came together in person to meet with their program faculty and peers, to receive coaching and encouragement about the processes for comprehensive exams and dissertations/applied doctoral projects. They got to attend conference-style sessions about all kinds of topics, and to let their hair down during networking socials. The students felt equipped, supported, and prepared. The faculty felt acknowledged and valued. And all came away with a strengthened sense of belonging! The same is true for the participants in our cyclical masters program-specific residencies that occur throughout the year.
