Their meats are usually good cuts either nicely marbled or not all fat on the rib eye cuts the only down side is their vegetables I always have to slice n freeze to prevent rotting within only a day or 2 of buying not all the vegetables have these issues it's mostly fruits like strawberries, bananas, black n red raspberries, watermelon at times can seem fine only to cut into it n find it totally rotten inside, n as a previous bagger at another grocery store either employees might b rushing during busy times or maybe due to the cashier n bagger bagging u have to just watch out for breads n eggs to ensure they don't end up smashed n broken, I really wish they'd sell 18 packs of white eggs n I'm pretty sure either deli workers or customers mash the pre-sliced cheeses so it's impossible to pull just one slice off, next time I may just get it directly from the deli n have them slice it little thicker to try to help with getting cheese slices apart. Unfortunately with the economy in the trash prices have gone up but from my personal experience they seem to charge more than some other local stores. Being disabled n my difficulty just getting my grocery shopping done means if I've bought fruit or veggies that end up being rotten upon purchase I end up unable to return/exchange my bad goods n lose the item n money for it cutting into my fixed income meaning I end up with less food than I should have for the month n no way to replace the loss I have to take. I'm not sure why or what is so wrong with their fruits or veggies section where other stores can stock n provide much better quality items and sell a lot of items at cheaper prices, unfortunately it's more than likely due to the individuals who constantly shop lift causing the honest paying customers to have to pay more idk but I really use to love this store but I may need to start getting some items elsewhere so I'm not losing money buying rotten items that physically I'm unable to make the walk back there within a reasonable time frame to return/ exchange...
Read moreI found the staff at the Trucchi's store on Tremont Street in Taunton to be very friendly, professional and helpful. I walked in and picked up a fruit salad that was very fresh and lasted a couple days in my fridge. I also swung by the meat counter and found a package of meat that I wanted to buy; however, cooking for one the package was way too much for just me. I asked the gentleman at the butcher counter if he could cut the package in half as I was only cooking for myself. He said no problem. He took the package, walked in, divided it in half and came back and gave me half the package. He also had a smile on his face and told me to have a good day. There was also a young lady at the checkout that was also very friendly and engaging in conversation while checking me out. The store was also very clean. Just an FYI... this was at 7:00 a.m. If you found my review helpful, please give me a thumbs up and feel free to check out some of my other...
Read moreI like it, but not the greatest anymore. I came in one day for deli meat and completely changed my mind when I saw flies buzzing around the deli area, in some cases landing on the meat. If you're going to shop here you got to go at certain days, because if not they may be out of some of the things you need like egg whites, certain creamers certain fruits Etc. The staff are the most part is awesome, but there are one or two people who if you approach and ask for assistance they give you this look like you just ruined their whole day and then you tend to forget what you were looking for and just want to walk away. The sad thing is my family used to shop here going back to before I was born, I used to shop here regularly but I don't as much because of the above reasons but that's just me. I'll hit this place up if I'm in a pinch or need something because it is close to the house but it's not my number...
