Mimi’s Diner — Restaurant in Taunton

Every time we go home to Taunton we eat here. It's a staple. Everything is delicious

UPDATE: My review was 5 stars 6 years ago but we went again recently and had a terrible experience:

Waited 20 mins before being acknowledged after we sat down. Will never go back. $70 for 4 people waited 1 hour for our food and all of it came out at different times so some people were finished with their food while others were just getting it. We ordered normal breakfast items nothing crazy. My bacon was undercooked and another persons bacon was burnt to a crisp. They only came once to refill our coffee in the hour or so we were there and they gave us one set of utensils for 4 people. We had to ask for the rest and they forgot an item from my meal but at that point I was just ready to go. It is a shame that OFF Broadway is no more. Worst breakfast experience I have had in a long time.They need better management or something. It was a Saturday morning but that's no excuse....

Well not a nice bunch in this place!! There's no 0 stars so I had to put 1 Time of arrival one waitress looked @ us and looked at the other waitress they shookef there heads one came to take the order not very welcoming never asked my other half what he wanted so he walked out I kept getting looks from all the chef's shaking their heads. Also I over heard one of the waitresses talking about my turle neck vest I had on laughing saying she had on what she had on and it's not cold laughing. Wel I work outside and inside go figure Needless to say my other half has been in business for over 38 year's never had he seen and or experienced this type of absurdity. They don't deserve a 1/2 a penny. Hopefully they find god in their lives I don't recommend this place to anyone!!! Thanks but...

I wanted to like it here. Being a local joint and its close to where we live but after several times of something being off we just can't go back. The syrup is not good. Too sweet and thick. If you get sat in a certain section you get forgotten about. The waitress seems to hang by the food window and doesn't come to check on you. The runner (drink guy) ended up helping us (noticing us) more than our waitress. Also the food is inconsistent. It seems like one day a different person made the food than the last. I had a delicious omelet one day and a couple weeks later went back ordered the same omelet. It came out missing and ingredient and was over cooked and just no where near as good as the one I'd had before. Overall...
