A-1 Pizza — Restaurant in Taunton

I will no longer be ordering from this place. I’ve had a horrible experience with their customer service and food today. I went to pick three pizzas and felt very welcomed at first. He said the name for the order and I told the owner. I paid for the food and drove home. Once I got home I noticed I didn’t receive the correct food. I called back and told them I didn’t get the right food. They asked for me to come back with the order I received. With the current pandemic I was confused as to why they would want the food back once it’s left the establishment. But I brought it back regardless. I walked into the establishment and asked if I could please get a refund. The owner and son told me my food was ready I just received the wrong one. I told them I felt very uncomfortable taking the food seeing as the took the food back that I brought. They could’ve given my order away to someone and I just no longer wanted the food. The man told me I’m these words “I’m not missing out on $44.” He didn’t even let me finish speaking before he resulted in yelling at me. I was confused as to why I couldn’t get a refund seeing as there were no signs stating otherwise. He said I could either take the food or leave because I was not going to be refunded. I called my mother and told her what happened. She called the restaurant and told them they had no right to yell or speak to me the way they were. So the owner proceed to call the police on myself and my cousin who went with me. I called my brother and sister-in-law and they met me at the establishment to speak with the officer. I just couldn’t believe this was actually happening. The son/owner started to tell the officer a story that was completely incorrect of what actually occurred. I will never me ordering from here again because of the rude service and food that isn’t well prepared. And if you don’t refund for food then you should really put a sign that states that. It wasn’t my mistake they handed me the wrong order. I WOULD HAVE GIVEN 4 STARS BUT AFTER TODAY THINGS HAVE CHANGED. I WAS TOLD 5 TIMES AS I WAS SPEAKING THE CUSTOMER IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT...I have been a loyal customer for many years. And yes, I order my sub a certain way, and have no problem paying the difference as well as spending a not so healthy amout of money there , but am always accomidated and have no problems. Today was a different story. Im not sure if it was because it was over the phone, staff was stressed, or not, but the owners daughter was very disrespectful to me as well as the owner chiming in regarding my regular order. I went down there to speak face to face as I am a regular customer and didnt want any bad blood. The owner was welcoming to my son and I, as I am a very familiar face, ready to take my ordrer ...when I explained i had called and the circumstance. It was very busy so staff was already on edge. Then he yelled at me telling me NO SERVICE FOR YOU, I was disrespected in front of my 8 year old , my character assassinated, called out of my name more than once in foul language by his daughter and the help, and above all truely disappointed in this establishment. I am in disbelief that I was treated in such a way as well as getting sworn at and approached right up in my face by the help named Josh, after i had tried to smooth everything out with no avail. Unfortunately i mentioned the better buisness bureau, and I got verbally attacked by all staff and was told to leave because they had plenty of customers and WE ARE ALL REPLACEABLE. Very disappointed and will be discontinuing all corporate accounts i order for as well as those who I have referred to over the years. Just an fyi, the son is amazing, umfortunately he was not...

I'm not one to typically leave reviews. However, after given my LAST experience with A1 some serious thought I had to inform others of the ignorance that I was subjected to! I have been ordering from this place for decades, and after my last experience I will NEVER order from them again! I placed a rather large order as I did multiple times a week. One of the items I ordered was a veggie calzone. When our order was delivered I recieved a veggie pizza. So, I called to inform them of the mistake that was made the man says " well a veggie calzone is just a pizza folded in half anyway!" I said "no it's not it is cooked differently and comes with sauce!" He says " what do you want me to bring you some sauce" as he chuckles! I informed him I ordered from him all the time and that simply wasn't what I had ordered!" He says " well next time you order I'll give you 1/2 off a calzone!" I said trust me there will not be a next time!" This situation could have been handled so much differently if a arrogant employee/manager had not answered the phone! No other reasonable remedies were offered! I was completely baffled at the treatment I received I've been eating there since I was a child! Absolutely unbelievable!...
