Good to walk, But U take your life in your hands if you go anywhere near the road the cars don't go 25 mph and then when you drive on the road going 2025 miles an hour they're blowing the horn at you like they're on route 80 it's ridiculous No county cops in the park and they give in time occasionally there may be a sign posted blinking saying 25 mph no speeding but there's no Bergen County sheriff's in there enforcing it once in a blue moon is here Bergen County Police nobody with a white SUV that says Bergen County security but that's nothing They don't do anything anyhow aside from if you're parked funny they stop and say you're not supposed to be parked that way or is everything all right but that's about it They don't do anything else for enforcing a law have police posted inside the park to give out speeding tickets that would be great I've almost gotten hit several times by crossing the end across walk in the car is almost hitting me Sophie needs to be killed or want to be commit suicide going one of the Bergen County Parks going across what I need to get hit there's a...
Read moreIn general it is a good place for families, especially kids. But some rules should be implemented: like banning all smokers from the entire park, not allowing people blasting their radios with religious propaganda and curbing after your dog (there are lots of poop everywhere now). Still, people insist in believing they own the seats and prevent others to sit down by resting their bags, drinks, clothing, shoes and luggage on all seats... Ice cream truck always present, four new EV chargers ready for customers along the parking lot, turtles crossing the roads, birds stealing food from picknickers, small baseball league at play in the offing, the Overpeck brook and lakes right next to the park over the bushes, lots of healthy walking and wide spaces to explore. Come along in comfortable clothing and sandals or cheap tennis shoes. Be warned, though, all bathrooms are scarce...

Instead of helping manage the parking demand during a busy day, they chose to make everything worse. We drove away frustrated and ended up with a ticket elsewhere thanks to this nonsense.
First impression of this park? Unwelcoming, dysfunctional, and oddly hostile. Won’t be back—and I suggest you look for parking elsewhere unless you enjoy...
