Iโve been with Mr. Songโs pottery studio for more than 2 years now and have learned so much, having only attended the Tuesday night classes.
Mr. Songโs teaching is very hands on, in which you not only learn how to throw on the wheel but also hand build, how to wedge and prepare your own clay, and how to glaze. Itโs truly a โdo it yourselfโ class where all ideas are welcome and celebrated.
Iโve gotten to make a variety of pieces - from cups, bowls, plates, and fun handmade pieces as well. Some of his students come with some artistic background or pottery experience but many of his students - like myself - are new to the craft! We even got to do a showcase this past spring to close friends and family.

He has 30 years of pottery experience and i have not seen any better pottery teacher ever before. he makes his own glazing and it seems most students here they learn fast from basic to master level.
