āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø Unforgettable Family Experience at Croc Encounters

I recently visited Croc Encounters with my 12-year-old twin boys, and we all had an absolute blast! From the moment we arrived, the experience was engaging and so much more interactive than your typical zoo.

Our tour guide, Kiana (apologies if I’ve misspelled her name), was fantastic—super knowledgeable, friendly, and great with the kids. She made the tour both educational and exciting, pointing out the incredible variety of animals on-site.

The highlight for my boys was getting hands-on experiences you rarely find elsewhere. They were able to hold an alligator and snakes, feed turtles and tortoises, and get up close to so many animals in a safe, guided setting. Their faces lit up the entire time—it’s something they’ll never forget.

The whole tour lasted about 1.5–2 hours, which was the perfect length to stay fully engaged without feeling rushed. I truly appreciated that it wasn’t a ā€œwalk around and lookā€ type of experience—this was interactive from start to finish.

I can’t recommend Croc Encounters enough for families or anyone looking for something different than the usual zoo visit. It’s educational, exciting, and unforgettable. Five stars all the way!

Want me to make this a little shorter and casual (for something like Google Reviews or Facebook), or keep it in this longer, travel-guide style?

I recently visited Croc Encounters with my 12-year-old twin boys, and we all had an absolute blast! We went on a Sunday and made reservations ahead of time, which worked out perfectly because it wasn’t too busy and we were on the very first tour of the day.

Pretty good tour for most I’m sure. I thought it was kind of pricey for what it is but everything is pricey, and i understand the overhead cost though. The exhibits is nothing fancy that’s for sure. Good for getting an up close experience, good for kids. I went solo. I came here a few years ago, and when I entered the lot it looked shady, like an abandoned business. Really dumpy looking. Today I looked up this business and when I arrived I was reminded this was the place I came to years ago and left. This time I pulled up and saw another car with people in it so I proceeded to continue this time. I walked to the building area and really didn’t know what to do or where to go. I saw 2 young fellas hanging out in another area so I asked them where do I go? They said just wait by the door. I walked to the door to see the sign of the tour not starting for another 1/2 hour so I waited in my car. Your presentation sucks. How about some kind of organization? Presentation? Your appearance upon entry is horrible. You obviously don’t care what your entry way and parking lot look like. I think I ran over a brick or piece of cinder block coming in. What a mess. It looks the same abandoned shady looking facility I came to a few years ago. I wonder how many of your customers pull up, turn...

Was excited to take my family until I arrived. Upon my arrival we were met by a young lady outside who wasn’t sure if there would be a show for 6pm although the internet says they close at 8pm. We sat in our car and waited for her to make a call to see if there would be a show. My husband asked how much to get into the show and she told him $60+ then I questioned her because the website says 4 people for $99 and her response was ā€œoh yea we do thatā€. She then told me I had to call to pay. Once I called the person told me $99 plus $50 after hours fee. When I questioned him because the web does not mention that he responded a very rude and spicey way. He went back and forth with me about the time business should be open and after hour fees. Long story short we were the only people that showed up about 5:30p. He had already left for the day and the worker at the front was waiting to close. I would never spend my money here. If you are not aware of pricing and policies before arrival they will charge you more for nothing. DO. NOT GO HERE. If you want FRIENDLY staff and have an engaging experience got to EVERGLADES ALLIGATOR FARM. It is a drive from here...

The parking lot and entry are unimpressive, but the rest of this facility is fantastic. They have an amazing collection of rescued and rehabilitated wild animals. Our 11-year-old grandson was enthralled, and this 68-year-old grandpa also loved every minute. Gators, cross, snakes, turtles, tortoises, monitor lizards - they do an impressive work here!

We started our summer vacation with some small adventure for my adventure kid. We really had a nice time at Croc Encounters for an hour and half. Couple of things to note - Keep your water bottles handy to keep hydrated (no food) and book your tour guide before making an adventure hunt (pre-booking is a must). They have more space to expand but using its minimal area as they are still growing. Personally I found this experience little expensive paying around $99 for family of 3. The tour guide Alex was very knowledgeable & humble to go person for providing the right info about alligators/ crocodile🐊. They have different species of alligator/crocodile (cayman, Cuban, Nile crocodile), many turtles 🐢 , some lizard species & one or two birds 🐦 . You will definitely encounter around 32 baby alligators 🐊 for sure. You can feed baby alligators and turtles too. Prime part is to get your adventures DPs for social media post with one of the social animal (turtle). Finally your tour ends with an adventurous pic with you holding a baby alligator 🐊.
