Winn-Dixie — Local services in Temple Terrace

I am a little upset with the deli department on Temple Terrace Hwy near Thonotosassa. There was a new employee and I know that mistakes can be made however I had asked for a certain type of turkey that was on sale and he cut the wrong one. I was ok with that I will eat most any kind of turkey the problem is the turkey I wanted was 6.99 a pound when my son noticed the package at home a day later it said ham at 9.99 a pound. The issue that I am having is the new employee really didn't listen to what I was asking for and if he wasn't for sure then he needed to ask his manager. Not only didn't listen to what I wanted charged me for ham when there was turkey inside of the bag. There is a color difference and I did take pictures. I have lost my receipt or I would of taken it back so the manager was aware. Customer service is about listening to the customer rather you are a new employee or someone that has been there for years. Got to love the ol Winn-Dixie. Not much above and beyond its sister stores but this one in particular has a wonderful Bakery, great deli and fish shop entertains some of the nicest and friendliest employees of the community. Along with the Wine Spirits next door it's a great place to shop while you're waiting for your clothes to wash/dry at the laundromat couple stores down. Plus if you have a tight budget and want to catch better deals on certain things there's a dollar store just on the other side of that! Because of the typical stereotyped views of the surrounding neighborhoods nearby they hire an occasional security guard that watches over the place. Can't be all that bad since he's only armed with a pattan and taser no firearm of course. But overall I love this store and without it I feel like are surrounding neighborhoods in this area, since here is where I live would be put in a bind and would have to either walk or travel to the corner of 56th and Busch just to get the groceries the average...

This is my local, closest, most convenient store. In all I have few complaints, but this one is worth the one star rating. Several times in the past the deli counter has been unmanned. Two days ago I walked up the the deli counter first as I entered the store. I went and got my other groceries after 10 minutes after being ignored by the staff in the back. Upon returning 15 minutes later I found no one again. I approached the customer service desk and it was unmanned as well. I returned to the deli to see how long it would take, and my answer was 20 additional minutes before someone just arriving to work helped me. This is unacceptable. UPDATE 2/23/19 - I use this store often begrudgingly because of its proximity to my home. The store does not set its new sale ad until late morning on the day its starts and more often then not the pricing is wrong on the register.
