Melick's Town Farm - Oldwick Cider Mill & Orchard — Attraction in Tewksbury Township

There is no option for no stars here. We come to this place EVERY YEAR. We tried today and the lines were terrible so we could not pick apples today. We decided to go to their store down the road and as usual we spent A LOT of money as this place is not cheap ! We got a “baked daily” apple crisp pie that cost 19$. We got home excited to have a piece and we had to spit it out immediately as it was rotten. Called to let them know and instead of apologizing two female employees argued with me that it was brought in frozen and heated up there today and couldn’t be rotten. Well it is and they suggested I get back in my car and drive the 44 minutes plus traffic just to prove it to them. Unbelievable. They were so nasty that I almost did just to make them taste it. Insensitive customer service . Booked a reservation for 8 for Sunday the 5th. I invited family to come from NY City via train, but we found out this morning that the NJ Raritan Valley Line is shut down due to storm Ida and my family would not be able to make it. I called twice and was told I would be able to reschedule via their website, but after not being able to, I called again a third time and got Rebecca on the line. She is apparently is in charge and told me coldly, "No refunds and no rescheduling!" I was left with the impression that she could care less about my circumstances and that I'd have to pay again, regardless. Have been coming to Melick's for years now .we have always enjoyed picking our own fruit. And that has always been enjoyable and fun . Unfortunately I bought 2 tickets for the festival. First problem was it was very unorganized. You could not tell who worked there and who was just there for the festival. Didn't know what line to stand in as I had purchased the tickets online. Lines were crazy long. Second problem was there was no picking that day . We may have missed it but did not see where the bar-b-que was. Although have to admit we were there probably about 20 min trying to find someone that knew what was going on. Ended up just leaving out of aggravation. Did not even use the tickets I bought.
