Texas Drive Park — Attraction in Texas Charter Township

There are quite a few options for kids of multiple ages. They have a really nice paved track that encircles the entire park, and it is not a small park. They have a small sandpit calisthenics area as well. Very nice basketball courts, a jungle gym (not a HUGE one, but big enough for a dozen children or so to play on safely, although it does fill up quickly.) They have a picnic area that can be utilized if open, or reserved. This is also not too terribly big. Soccer fields, a baseball field, and then a massive open space. Great for a spontaneous trip, if you want to exercise outside, sports practice, or just to enjoy some outdoor time. They DID also recently put in a very nice splash pad. Nice Park but our car was broken into while we were there (in broad daylight). We were only there for a short time. They somehow unlocked the door, then went through my wife's purse and stole her credit cards. Within 15 minutes they tried to make $1,500 in purchases at Walmart. Good place. Closes at sundown, and cops like to come thru. Keeps it nice and safe. No hooligans seem to frequent this area, so its great for family's. Tons of fields, but no tennis court. So that's like a huge "meh". (The park off milham has 2 tennis courts) They got a nice path going thru it. Something like 4-5 laps is a mile. Closes some months of the year.
