I've been coming to this park ever since I was a kid and now that I'm in my 30's- I bring my own kids. They've upgraded it several times over the years and recently paved the walking trail with asphalt which makes it a lot easier to walk on as it can get quite muddy and slippery. There's several pavilions you can host parties or get togethers at, several benches/picnic tables and a large swing to enjoy. The fishing is tough but not impossible to reel a few in and plenty of ducks, turtles to feed. They have a family of water rats that are either very friendly (will eat out of your hand) or will scamper away- there's no in between. If you play pokemon go, there are two gyms and over 10 poke stops to visit here as well. There are also a few small nature trails on the back half that give the illusion of hiking without the dangers of wildlife or shady characters. The bathrooms arent the greatest but there's never a line so if your little one has "gotta go" right then and there, no worries about having an accident waiting for their turn. All in all, a nice relaxing...
Read moreThis park absolutely sucks at keeping the gates closed and taking care of its wildlife! 6/14/25 @ 9:44 right now and I just got back from speaking to someone who is supposedly in charge of keeping the gates closed. this is now the 3rd duck to have been hit at night by cars but who ever the guy working there is doesn’t care for them, that duck walked out of the park and got hit he didn’t fly like the man loved to say and make hand gestures to me to imply it flew. Put some damn signs out on the road and close the gates and do your damn job instead of sitting on your ass in that golf cart. Jesus Christ I shouldn’t have to witness a a duck from the park get hit by a car and having its feathers flying in the wind. I had to get out of my car to move a poor a duck out of the road. You would think that a park that is filled with so many ducks, turtles and fish that they would take better care of its wildlife. Smh a damn...
Read moreA beautiful park and alot for kids to do and you can fish and there is a short nature walk. I've seen comments that concern the race ratio in this park let me break it down to you okay? I've been going to this park since I was five I am about to turn 26 so 26 years of being at this park, and let me tell you this park is very VERY diverse! I regularly fish here and bring my kids and all manner of families come here, Indian families Asian family African American families white and Mexican families. This park is in my opinion very cool two separate playscapes one for toddlers and one for bigger kids, and there is even a splash pad and also a little rock wall kids can climb but it's not big and extravagant bring bread and bait when you come here fish feed the birds and ducks this park is also in the same parking lot as a library. There are public...
