It used to be one of my favorite stays about a year ago but something happened between then and now and management lost a lot of its warmth from what I can tell. A coworker of mine lives nearby and as he was going home from his shift mine was just beginning but we had enough time to chat during shift change when I mentioned I was staying at the Camelot Inn that night so he offered to bring by some left over BBQ from his family reunion and I wasn't about to turn down free BBQ but i didn't get back til after midnight and true to his word, around 1:15am there's a knock at my door and he's standing there with a paper bag full of all kinds of food and I say come in but no sooner I close the door behind him and the phone to my room starts ringing and someone from the office starts yelling at me that visitors are not allowed and won't even let me tell him he's just dropping off some food before he yells me if he doesn't leave in the next five minutes he's going to call the police. The police. For bringing me BBQ so I don't have to spend any money eating our, what a pal, but before I can say anything he hangs up on me. I'm sorry but if I pay for my room I should get a say if if someone stops by to help me out but since I couldn't get a word in I'll say ot here... that kind of pissed me off and I don't think I'll be returning or recommending the Camelot Inn on west little york and gessner because the way I see it, that was my room that night, they certainly took my money and there was never any mention of a "No Guests Allowed" policy before then, and frankly, I don't like being yelled at, threatened with the police, and hung up on not one little bit! So this place is out of my business, at least because I was angry and embarrassed to tell my friend what just happened as he's doing a kindness for me and I got to explain all this before two minutes passed the he arrived with all this food. Man, I almost went nuclear but for him saying I shouldn't worry about it he was only dropping it off. But, you see, that was my...
Read moreI only stayed here for a night and it was decent what you see from picture like 6 is actually what the bed look like the ceiling it seem they try make it look like the sky with clouds. When i entered the room it smelled like smoke and the outside of it too.The room itself was moderate clean and it only look like they had 1 maid staff. The only they renovated in the room i can tell is the backboard of the bed, desk, and cabinet. Television is so old that its static and the light is darkly dim. I only called the front once for the wifi information they were quick and nice. I recommend that they try replace the bed sheets because just lawing on it i feel itchy. Television because they are kinda old and a little broken the items that they put inside here seems like they built it around 2000 and kept it that way only thing new is desk, cabinets, and bed backboard.I would only recommend staying here for a night if you do bring your own blanket because these seem like they came from a home from 2000. Finding this place was a little difficult because the sign was half working and only one small...
Read moreBesides the roach infestation in the poorly cleaned room and the group of boys that approached me again after I declined to buy whatever "dope" LOL... And they called and knocked on the door... but I have been around to see this before. However I just checked out 30 minutes ago I realized I left my earrings that are priceless to me and I asked politely if property manager would please put aside and somehow in 10 seconds she went to look for them and she said they were not there. I am absolutely positive they are because I was about to pick them up but I was distracted by the pounding on the door at 10:51 AM by a maid demanding that I check out. Not at 11AM, which is the actual time for check out. It's bittersweet because I was considering this place for our reunion and the 30 plus rooms I'd have booked for 12 days would have been a disappointment and I would stay in a tent before supporting such a dump managed so poorly....
