Dolton Park District — Attraction in Thornton Township

I tried to give Dolton a chance. They said camp hours are from 7am to 6:15pm. They were not even open at 7:15am and Mr.Sam had the nerve to try to justify this behavior. That was the 1st problem. The 2nd problem was they left my child unattended and let a stranger have a conversation with my child. An adult should have never had the opportunity to talk to a minor. I set up a meeting about this situation that occurred with the adult and staff. They cancelled the meeting on me at the last minute. They were forced to have the meeting, after the adult and I begin to argue. Once again Mr.Sam tries to justify this behavior by talking about back in the day, they would have let an adult stranger talk to a child, just because they are adults. They do not care and every situation is justified because of, back in the day, and how many years he's worked with children. Mr. Sam needs an update on life and the rest of the staff because now days you can't even walk up on someone, without something happening. NO STRANGER SHOULD EVER HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO TALK TO ANYONES CHILD, without the parent and staff. THEY ARE MINORS WHO CAN'T DEFEND THEMSELVES. TERRIBLE. THIS IS...

My 5 stars aren't based on perfection, but rather the professionalism, pleasantness and empathy shown to me, my family and friends. We had a Memorial Luncheon for my Brother in Love. We had a scheduled time, but on our end it was cutting things close. I reached out on a couple of occasions to management and at the time of our conversation there seem to be little that could be done. Fast forward to the day of our event. I arrived extra early on the prayer and hope that things would work out in our favor...and thankfully and gratefully they did! We were able to get in, set up and our event ran smoothly. I personally want to Thank, Ms. Shameka, Ms. Keisha, Mr. Steve, Mr. Cory, The President of the Leadership council, the lady who was with him, The 2 evening janitors and the lady in the office ( I apologize for not getting yr names) Without ALL of your assistance and graciousness it would have made a stressful and heartbreaking situation even more difficult. Thank you, thank you, thank you for EVERYTHING.

This park district is horrible. My aunt rented the place for my daughters 1st birthday. The air was not working they kept telling us it needed to just kick in. The workers were unprofessional and one worker was a creepy pervert who kept coming in staring at small kids dance and had to be asked to leave. When I brought this up to the management it was dismissed I later learn the worker is the son of one of the board members so I guess he is allowed behave in this way. I sent pictures of the workers sitting and not working after being asked to help and nothing was done. This was a horrible experience and they have the nerve to want to charge you full price for horrible service. This whole park district needs to...
