J-Wok — Restaurant in Thornton Township

It took an hour and ten minutes for my order to arrive. I had to call back and make sure it was still coming. When it came, the inside of the bag was covered in sauce from the dish. I mean, I couldn't reach in the bag without having to wash my hands. I took the food out and it made a mess on my counter. The napkins were soaked through. I asked the delivery driver what happened, and he said (get this), "it's probably the sauce." What a genius. My order was a small Mongolian chicken with broccoli. The broccoli was an extra $1.75, but I felt it was worth it, because I hate Chinese mixed vegetables (green pepper, onion, that nasty corn). There were literally 10 pieces of broccoli and, of course, mass amounts of yucky mixed vegetables (thankfully, no corn). I also ordered a small vegetable fried rice, and it wasn't great, but wasn't bad, either. A little greasy, which is something I'd expect. In total, my order was $17.20. Right?? I mean, one small dish, one small fried rice. No drinks, no egg roll, nothing. I ordered here because they don't use MSG. I guess real salt (the most abundant mineral on Earth) costs exponentially more. I can find zero reason to pay $18 for what I got, save for that I was starving for over an hour. Never ordering from here again- they can miss me with the stupidity. Also, Mr. Delivery Man, you are very welcome for the $.80 tip....

I placed the order for fried chicken, egg foo yong and beef fried rice. They made my order incorrect and the sister had an attitude. I just didn’t want the food anymore. She sent me back to my car for an egg roll when I only wanted the refund for the egg fo young cause they made it incorrectly so I just told her to give me all my money back because I’m not gonna go back-and-forth with somebody and I know how I want my food so come today I place an order. She refuses my service because she says we can’t make The order correctly because she doesn’t know how and honestly that’s just Ignorant to put your personal feelings in a business Setting.Food is OK but the attitude sucks and they’re very prejudice so don’t spend money somewhere where people think you could disrespect somebody for no complete reason people don’t know how to accept the fact that they are wrong and now they’re losing business because of that so if you they have a bad problem with taking accountability you shouldn’t work there. I live in Riverdale so there’s only two places that deliver here. Jwok WAS my favorite one. I always get plain fried rice. One day they were very busy and my order took three hours to get me. I understood and still continued to be patient and wait on my order. That day that was the only thing me and my kids ate. The next morning we woke up with stomach pains that thrned into having the runs. I knew we got food poisoning. This isn’t the first time we caught food poisoning in the area. But I normally don’t have a problem with Jwok so I understood maybe because they were busy. I gave it about a month in a half before I ordered again. I ask the lady to have the kitchen be careful this time around because we caught food poisoning. I wasn’t being negative or trying to bash them because if anything I UNDERSTOOD!
