My family & I finally went over to Meadowood Park. This place is fantastic. First, there is a large clean parking lot with adequate spaces. Then we took the short path through the woods & over a stream to the park. It boasts 2 playgrounds, one for very young children & another one close by for larger children. The day we were there there were probably 30 kids playing on the exercise equipment with room to spare. Several benches were available for the adults watching the kids. A pavilion was near by with grills & tables to eat on, there was a happy, noisy family celebrating some occasion. The pavilion may be available to reserve, but we didn't need it. A huge soccer or rugby field was available for kids that brought kites or balls or lacrosse sticks. Most welcome was a clean well stocked restroom that was an easy walk from the playground equipment. Some of the fields had over head lights, like at the stadium. This park has everything you & your group need to have a fabulous day outside. Plus, right across the street is a very welcome snowball stand! A perfect afternoon...
Read moreGreat place to walk, run, bike, skateboard, walk your dog, maybe your cat, definitely not your iguana. There are several regulation fields. One astroturf football and lacrosse field. There are picnic atrium and a playground with swings.
Very nice park. Parking is off of Falls Road. Park is open from dawn to dusk. There are stadium lights for night games. Not a hunting park. Not a camping park.
Perfect for families and sporting events.
I go here to longboard often. Theres a small bridge at the entrance of the park that captivates anyone who comes through. The walk way has markers for portions of a mile. The whole stretch in a circle is a mile of walk-way. There are bathrooms and water fountains on the grounds though sometimes not in operation.
During sporting events there is available a stand in which to merchant goods. I think you have to talk with the park affiliate to get more...
Read moreWe were in a soccer tournament at this park. One of the older kids went to sit in the van and relax between games. The doors were locked. A person/vandal came up to the van looked in and preceded to try and open the door!!! The kid watched this person try to break into multiple cars before she came and told the parents. The police were called. The next day at the tournament when we drove up in the morning we saw at least 2 parking spots that had broken glass in them. Looked like the cars had been broken into through the glass windows! It's a shame we had this experience because it is a really nice Park. The restrooms are nice and the play ground is located close to the parking lot. Not sure I would go here alone with small children because of the...
